This is my opinion based on the familiar tone of Henny Penny the sky is falling in news stories about all the freshly liberated Iraqis with their own guns.

The mistake the gun grabbers always make is that they assume that they can use that same Army we have seen in action to confiscate our firearms. They assume those boys would come home and obey their orders to disarm their brothers and fathers (and sister and mothers). The reality is, a good number of the folks they have seen in action would be on our side in such an endeavor...

For all the claims of guns available to the public, the average Iraqi makes $2 a day. A gun costs at least $100. Do the math. The average Iraqi can't afford one. The only Iraqis who had guns were those who were in good with some of Saddam's thugs.

I did hear yesterday that the British troops were asking everybody to turn in their weapons, in the town they were in. But then again, that is the British way.
