The US and UK invaded a sovereign nation without provocation (Not a barf alert!!!!)

Hello freepers!!

I know you have no lives and you wait for stuff like this.

Here is another view of your great and noble war....

I hope this won't ruin your little party.

Feel free to respond.....

I'm GAME!!!

The US and UK invaded a sovereign nation without provocation or proof of anything or either country having been harmed. The US and UK invaded a sovereign nation stating it had WMD. Then it was for regime change. Then it was to liberate its' people. Yeah? So when do we liberate Syria, Iran, N. Korea, Cuba and the hundreds of other countries where dictators have free reign to murder their people, steal their lands, and all other atrocities. Why was Iraq so important at this point in time? One word - OIL. And now that's a certainty, so why not go on to try and control the rest of the Middle East?

I don't care how many Iraqi's are dancing in the streets or tearing down statues or looting. The US and the UK murdered innocent civilians. They targeted and assasinated people, including journalists and envoys from other countries.

This was an illegal, immoral and unjust INVASION of a country that was practically defenseless. And no amount of propaganda bull sh*t will change that. And we have lost the battle for hearts and minds. Just like Afghanistan. We will remain in Iraq and the ME for years to come and the American taxpayer is paying for it. This was not done in my name. It's being waged in the name of greed, hegemony and OIL.

Without provocation?

Tsk, tsk, tsk. You aren't educated on this subject.

Let's change that fact.

Provocation #1: Iraq violated the terms of its 1991 surrender treaty with the U.S. by *FIRING* on U.S. aircraft that enforced the North and South "no fly" zones in Iraq from 1991 to 2003. That's not only a valid provocation for war, but also a legal justification under international law.

Provocation #2: Iraq was caught funding the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center during the courtroom conviction of Ramsi Yousef. Again, that's a legal and moral justification, due to Iraq's provocation.

Provocation #3: Iraq under Hussein attempted to assasinate former President George Bush in Kuwait, an act of war.

Provocation #4: Iraq financed Palestinian terrorists and permitted the Palestinians to establish a bomb factory in Iraq that was used to murder an American citizen in Israel a few months ago.

Provocation #5: Iraq was in violation of the Nuclear non-proliferation treaty.

Provocation #6: Iraq financed and helped train al-qaeda terrorists who had links to the 9/11 attacks.

Provocation #7: Iraq was considered to be facilitating terrorist groups' access to weapons of mass destruction.

Provocation #8: Iraq refused to release the 1991 American POW Scott Speicher (or even confirm his status).

Provocation #9: Iraq was in material breach of 17 UN Security Council resolutions, including two which specificly authorized the unilateral use of force by any Security Council member states to affect enforcement, at that UNSC member state's discretion.

Provocation #10: Iraq was not fully cooperating with UN Weapons Inspectors.

Well, now you've been educated on this subject. If you learn from this thread, then great, otherwise you will just continue to spread misguided information.

You'd have to be dumb as a box of rocks to believe our invasion of Iraq is about oil.

However, it would be true to say that France,Russia and the UN's opposition to the invasion, is all about oil. They stand to lose the many billions of dollars in illegal oil contracts and investments they made with the dead tyrant, Saddam Hussein. Their hands are dripping with the blood of innocent Iraqi's.

BTW, bye bye, you leftist, America-hating puke.

"I should zot you for creating more work for us. 10 abuse reports already, AND I have to go and pare the breaking news sidebar now. Grrrrrr"

Though I'm sorry for the extra work (it must be very difficult to keep FR under control), all I can say is, I'm glad this thread is still here, at least for now, just for the comic relief.

These people are becoming comical in their denial of reality. :-)

And to think I was like that when I was, oh, 21 or so! I blame it on my socialist boyfriend...
