Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

My s-i-l is not the homeschooling type. Plus in their county, like ours, schools are still pretty conservative.That's cool. At least she'll be able to be at home when the youngster gets home from school!

Well, Finding Nemo is a great kid's movie.Kid's movie? Heck, I loved it! There were some really FUNNY lines in it! It bothered me during the whole show that I couldn't figure out who was the voice of 'Gill'. It was SO familiar, but I just couldn't place it. Just yelled "ACK" when I saw the credits and it was Willem Dafoe! I just love him, and his voice was great for that part.

I took the kids to the drive-in to see BOTH the 'flushable' and Pirates. It was great on the big screen, but not as sharply focused as in the theater.

Looks like Gandalf is fighting to me...not holding back. The other are fighting too.Heh, that's not my impression! But, Gandalf shouldn't be there at all if Theoden is still alive... he should be off dealing with Denethor. What point is there to Dernhelm facing the Witch King if Gandalf is there?
