The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Lets see, the only one of those that Wneighor has (besides last night's fare) is FOTR SE. I sent the theatrical to the grandaughter in Portland. The other's I do not have.
Kind of gives us a one choice huh?

I want to learn Flash next. Wow... Really!
I had to run an unexpected errand into town, and I called WN out of the blue on my cell phone. HA! Was good to talk to you WN, and I appreciate your advice and cheer!
I didn't get as far as I hoped in the book, but I am going to get back at it... I am glad you sent it to me, it is a pleasure to read! I am finding out about the horse trainer now.

Kind of gives us a one choice huh? Not that there's anything wrong with that. :-)
Sure, if anyone wants to do the FOTR SE after 10 EST, I'm game.

SQ, your Grand Jury experience should be really neat, if you can afford the time.Well, being a stay at home Mom has it's advantages. Even with homeschooling, Clare and Joseph are OK to leave alone since SSQ's office is only 5 mins. away in case of an emergency. They can do all their work on their own; we'll have plenty of reference books, etc for their research. We can get the books we need from the library in advance of their assignments so they'll be here for them to use, plus, they'll have my computer to do research on as well. The website for the curriculum we plan to use has lots of links for good sites for research. They'll be fine.
I'm looking forward to it, though there's no guarantee that I'll be seated on the GJ, either. I'll just show up and see what happens. It's not until the beginning of Oct.

I made it with 7 minutes to spare. I'm watching Peter Graves take on the giant grasshoppers that invaded Chicago.
