The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Posted on 12/17/2002 7:32:02 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Journey to the Cross-roads

The Two Towers Edition

Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)

Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

i just dunno.

Ahem.... I see no rational reason to 'dunno'! - The answer is, you go! You check it out!

Well, the email wasn't exactly in invitation to something. More like a checkout to see if I would respond I think. I responded.... with the same kind of chatty information I got.

I dunno Jen. I thought about it. I decided it's Hair-speak for What Would Grama Tell You To Do? We'll have to wait and see if that's right.

WN.... I admire your old fashioned sensibilities, there are a lot of old spinters that share them.... and they glare at the happy wimmin that ventured to ask. ;~D

Well, my kids told me I ought to get over those old-fashioned ideas. So, I asked once. And it turned out really bad. It is on my list of "Things I've done that I wouldn't recommend trying!"

And the times you didn't ask? - Were they exciting?

Hmmm....

When I have to decide what to do in a situation, I merely ask what my muse would have me do - she gives advice as well as inspiration - and then I do the opposite.

Sigh... between screaming brothers and the attack of the poetic Scandinavian muse, I'm having a really weird day... I'm leaving now. Taking the boys to see a movie. I'll be back later.

You have to make sure you get the calling cards for international use that covers the country that they might be used in.

That never occured to me. Mine is good in Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas. I've never tried using it from the Mid East, though. LOL I still think the families would appreciate them though. Plus, the Renegades could use them as soon as they return home. Many, many calls to make. The next time my kid's school does a drive for the Indiana Guard families, I'm going to send a couple of them in with her.

Yeah - mine neither. I am no muse I guess! - I hope you take a small chance on it.... You needed one new challenge you know, you asked for this.... The reason to to get up and keep cleaning house.
