Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Okay folks, gotta go take the boys shoppin' for Mom's birthday tomorrow. She's at a wedding rehearsal tonite. We have to go to the wedding tomorrow. She's playing (so it's a gig), but I'm invited too...sigh. This is the daughter of friends from church, but we're not close enough to have been on the invite list if she wasn't playing. Puts a dent in my Saturday afternoon.

We'll do something birthday-ish tomorrow night. Still lookin' for an outdoor concert (she don't want to go to the amusement park...)

And one more thing...

I know everyone's prayer cards are full, but if you have an open dance...we're hoping to have tomorrow an offer that will take us from mortgage hell to mortgage purgatory. Not everything we want, but a lot better than what we've got.

Back from court.... 'we' lost... the ballot title stays, but it was real interesting.

Told Tim he just needed to embrace "Prohibited". There are a lot of people who will vote our way ~because~ Ecology would be prohibited from doing something!

Wow, that does put a dent in your day! Steve is taking me fishing, then to visit some friends that have free-range chickens to get some fresh eggs and then to that dairy that sells whole, unhomogenized milk. I want to make yogurt with it...

I can't wait!

But I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers about the mortgage...we're trying to refinance too...

On the downside, I have half a poem in my head. It's in Kalevala style - no rhymes, just syllabic stress patterns. It's dozens of lines long already. And it's about Harry Potter. Um. Kill me now.
