Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

We have a Fuji Fine Pix 2600Z with 3X optical zoom and 2.0 MegaPixels. It is easy to use; I like it a lot.
The price went down after we bought ours a couple of years ago, and we were able to get one just like it for David. St. Nick gave it to him for Christmas last year. He took a picture of the woods behind our house while he was here on Christmas vacation, just at dawn with the sun streaming through the trees and onto the snow. It was just beautiful! He used it as a screensaver for a while, and several people asked him from where he downloaded it so they could get it too! He was proud of that picture!

Hee... having way too much fun here. This is a picture of my room - you can see my book collection behind me. The picture on the wall is actually a framed 16th century manuscript page from one of Luther's writings. That's my new camera in my hands - I used a mirror to get this shot and it worked much better than I'd hoped.
Thanks for the nice compliments, guys - Hair, when it's a nice day I'll post a picture of the outside of my house. You'll like that!

Yawn! I slept from the Birthday party up until Weathertop! There was a lot of screeching! we have picked up some interloper who seems handy, and we seem to be going on a trip somewhere...

most all military pilots, especially rotor-heads, use IFR... "I Follow Roads"...LOL! When my brother Gerry was in the AF Reserves, he used to fly with several other planes down to Keesler in Biloxi. To show the guys where they were supposed to turn West after flying South from W. VA, he marked my Mama's house on a map for them. Our fishing camp is on the Pascagoula River just North of the MS coastline. He marked it 'Mom's Place', and whenever the guys would fly over, they'd waggle their wings for Mama! She got such a kick out of it!

Of course her house was just North of Hwy 90, so that helped a lot, too!! LOL! Yep, IFR. All they had to do was follow 90, then they'd see Keesler straight ahead!
