The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Gosh Ruthy, that's quite a load you're carrying. I'll help by lifting you up in prayer.
Remember, everything works for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. This may be the catalyst you need to get your butt up here to the Melbourne area.
You have our number if you need anything.

Thanks for the Breakfast Ruthy, and I'll put you on our Parish Prayer line. You had mentioned moving before; maybe the Lord is trying to tell you it's time to do just that! Sounds like you have a ton of experience, and I'm sure your boss will give you a stunning recommendation!
To: RMDupree
Wow Ruthy, that's a lot to deal with. We'll keep ya in our prayers.
And you shouldn't have to cook for us on mornings like this. ('course I'm glad you did) ;-)

Morning all.
Running a bit late this a.m. Car wouldn't start after driving thru the floods last night. Pulled out the jumper cables, but had to rewire one of the clips before I could use 'em. Finally got it going and made it into the office.
Have an employee recognition torture session er, picnic this afternoon. Have to drive to a park halfway across town. Praying for rainstorm so we can have it in the next building. I hate these things.
BUT, I'm fortunate, so I should stop whining.
To: RMDupree
Ruthy I'm sorry to hear of your situation. I can't say it any better than the other posters here, but, God Bless you and give you strength for whatever comes. Lots of prayers for you today.

I got this for you:
What profit has the worker from that in which he labors? I have seen the God-given task with which the sons of men are to be occupied. He has made everything beautiful in His time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives, and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor- it is the gift of God.
I know that whatever God does,
It shall be forever.
Nothing can be added to it,
And nothing taken from it.
God does it, that men should fear before Him.
Ecclesiastes 3:9-14.
NKJV.

Get your guinea fowl today?? Isn't it today?
I'd sure like to see some pictures...
Thanks everyone. I praise God for the friends He has provided me with.

Ruthy: That's terrible news...ugh...I know the stress of scrambling around the last 5 months trying to make sure everything doesn't go under. I was the only income in our house too. It gets stressful at times (and boring at others!)
Go ahead and feel like the world's dumped on you a bit...because it has (the world does that), and it helps a bit inside to just go ahead and recognize it.
It helped me to realize there was nothing I could do about it happening anyway, and that's where you are too. So you won't have to waste your time with that nasty business of looking back wondering what you could do differently (to which the answer is always: nothing).

Obviously, we didn't make it to Pirates yesterday. The sun came out (as I'm sure you noticed), so we hung around and did lots of yard work and BBQ'd. We may go one of these days (when the clouds show up again), depending on when/if I get called back to Auburn for another interview. I jest dunno.
To: RMDupree
So Sorry Ruthy.
Very scary time..... How long till you know?

Is your resume up to date? - I can help with that BTW, if you need it.... Used to do them somewhat for a living and I think I am pretty good at 'em!

Go to garage sales in ritsy neighborhoods too! - I bought a fabulous washer dry set for $100 that was only a few years old but they were remodeling and wanted white, these were almond.
