Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

From what I remember, you're supposed to ask stuff like where the bomb is, did you put it there and notice things about how the caller talked (accent, foul language, etc.) and notice any background noises. You're supposed to write down what the caller says ("Could you speak more slowly, please?") and then goes into whom you should call.
"I'm sorry. I don't have the bomb threat checklist in front of me. Could you please call the front desk?"

Hullo!
I had to go shopping because I'm starting two weeks of subcontracting to a client tomorrow and I don't want to show up in jeans. Also I got dinner. Today was great, I love being back at work. Best Monday in ages.

There are Norskies in Texas huh? - Not a very Nordic place! Did you get your brochure? Of the big city in the county?
Hello all! I worked my fanny off today. Too bad you can't tell and my jeans are still tight. But, I got a lot done. I should catch up about Wednesday at this time.
Just so y'all all know, we ARE feelin' the heat in north Texas!

Actually I have my old job back, it just currently entails dealing with a client for two solid weeks.

"I'm sorry. I don't have the bomb threat checklist in front of me. Could you please call the front desk?" Heh...when Mrs. Stormhands was home from college she worked as a cashier for Kroger. One night this guy came in, pulled out a knife and said "give me all your money."
Mrs. said, "I'm sorry. You'll have to talk to a manager."

No, I have to do work for them, not feed them! And nobody trusts me with an expense account.

Mrs. said, "I'm sorry. You'll have to talk to a manager." Now there's a woman with ovaries. Sounds like a lovely lovely dwarf lady.

Sounds like a lovely lovely dwarf lady. You know, I'm just not sure she'd appreciate that. She's sort of an agnostic when it comes to Middle-Earth. Although she HAS read them and will watch the movies with us (just not four hundred times...)

What a gorgeous place!Yes it is a lovely place. I took another shot that reminded me of the glades in Ithilien. Frodo is a little out of focus, but check this out.

Okay, if there's going to be dinner in this house tonight, I have to go finish cooking. Wife and boys aren't back from NC yet. I'd be surprised if they make it home before 10.

Girl! You're an 'ontamanure' (remember Mr. Robinson's neighborhood on SNL?)
