Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I'm tempted to do the same thing this time around.... 'The Halflings are courteous folk, whatever else they be,'
To: ksen
At the risk of rekindling the Elf-bashing, I wanted to slap Elrond for saying that. I was thinking, "What a manipulative jerk!" No elf-bashing taken here. Just your opinion. But, this line was one Elrond used in the story. PJ didn't make that one up.
I didn't like it when I read it in the book because it sounds like something my mom would say. Oh, I think she did say that to me..... regularly.

You take away the hair, the costume and the grime from Aragorn, and he's just ViggoI'll have to chime in a hearty "I second that opinion."
And Viggo's got no brain politically.

To: 2Jedismom; ksen
I can make you some eggs if you like!
To: Wneighbor
I remember them on Sat. Night Live, back when I was a kid...they strapped to their heads and hung under their chins and rocked back and for spilling "drool" all over the place. Anyone else remember that? I used to think it was hysterically funny.
I could just see us all traipsing out of the film with these overflowing drool buckets...HA!

What will become of our fellowship after ROTK? Is it breaking? Bite your tongue woman! I just got here. Don't do this to me!!!
To: Wneighbor

I'm glad you're here with me. Aww. I'm touched. Nobody's been glad to have me around north of Dallas/Ft. Worth yet. Thanks. :-D

I'm in an unbelievably crazy mood. I need to go sit in that deafening cinema and have my liver shook by the bass and just relax!
To: 2Jedismom
It is a shame we have no dwarves here today though. I miss them. :-(

To: 2Jedismom
Was SNL the one that had the skit about Julia Childs where she cuts her hand with a knife and blood starts spurting EVERYWHERE while she continues to prepare the meal? Or was that SCTV?
