Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Whew! I'm back from taking Chance (and Emma) on Chance's birthday treat -- forging up McLane Creek, over stumps and logs and obstructions and through deep pools. He loves scrambling over and through obstacles and going cross-country. It's his favorite thing in the world, but it has to be an 85 degree day (water can get a tad cold otherwise) and it does wear out the humans a bit!
He's really happy now, though!

Well of course she liked the Jack Russell, what's not to like:)

Again, I say...*shudder* I thought about asking: if I decided right after lunch that I didn't want to work there, could I just leave? :)
To: HairOfTheDog
Well within the last hour the sun has come out, and my garden is already looking better. I got all the broken stuff out, propped up the glads. the sunflowers wouldn't stay propped, a little windy today, but the sun is helping, fluff the ground around the plants. I still even have a few morning glories still open.
Well people should be coming shortly, I guess I should at least go comb my hair, maybe put on shoes. Funny how everything else always get done but me. OH well its just a bunch of hens, as Mack says:)
Maybe will see you guys tonight.

To: Overtaxed
Oh yes, along with the river trip he gets one of those too.
To: PayNoAttentionManBehindCurtain
Tell Mack no. lol. I need more firing practice though because I tend to aim low and I would think that even to a male intruder there are some things worse than death :'). Anyway, someone at work today, who shudders when she mentions the word gun told me she could never shoot anyone even to defend herself or her family. She asked me if I could. I told her yes, if it was choice of me or mine. Then I grinned and told her that if I had time I would try to pray that I wouldn't kill someone and afterwards I would probably administer first aide/ CPR

Well of course she liked the Jack Russell, what's not to like:) Well, this one was like 6 months old.... right at the height of terrible puppy stage. She really liked him.... can't you tell? ;~D
