The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I think giggling is good for the abs.... cuz my tummy hurts.
To: HairOfTheDog
It's not, actually. All I'm doing is checking out Harry Potter fandom, after all these years (like 2 years) and I found an old acquantance who can show me around.
And I found some old things I wanted to read on a site that doesn't have ten million popups, which is important.

Oh dear! W's completely lost! How long is Myranda gone for? Myranda is gone until June 30.
and we needn't confuse W's learning to adapt to a new lifestyle with anything bad. I like change. I like adventure. I am not a hobbit. This is a new learning curve and I like it so far. There were only 2 corn tortillas for tacos. I got both of them. What a concept. Until this week Myranda would have gotten 2 tacos and I would have gotten taco salad.

I am just sitting giggling incurably. Over me? You should be here. I'm kind of doing the same thing.
And you know what else? I did a load of laundry and everything I hung out on the line belonged to me. And there weren't 3 teen outfits for every one of mine because I don't change clothes every 3 hours like she does.
She is lurking out there though. She is lurking even in Germany. She likes lurking in the Hobbit Hole but she never posts.

I'm going wandering in dank and dark domains tonight... Sounds dangerous.... you want me 'n g'nad to come along?
Good grief. That mades it sound like Jen's going to a honky tonk. She's too young to be doin' that. just because we were doesn't mean she should.

I want you to know that I am now no longer able to have a normal conversation g'nad! It's been years since I read this book.

Gee, it sounds like I'm doing something really cool, doesn't it? Sounds like lots of skeeters.

An FXR is the good frame size. What year was it. I like FXR's. You know, they aren't so quick if you don't twist the wick as far and fast.

LOL:) I don't know what year it was, and Mack is not here for me to ask. It was actually an FXRP, does that help:)

To: PayNoAttentionManBehindCurtain
LOL, my son has been gone for about 5 yrs, and my daughter for about 2 yrs. Poor Mack has not had a decent meal since they left. Well, I know Myranda is only gone for right now until the 30th. She will be back for about 6 weeks then before she starts Master's Commission in the fall. At that time she'll be going to San Antonio. That's a long way off.
I have enough leftovers in the fridge to last me through the rest of the week and there are frozen burritos in the freezer for the rest of the month. I won't need anything else will I?

Well, I have a general idea. I had a husband with a '74 FXR. I liked it. Kick start though. I rode it sometimes. It was very quick.

I can go eat something can't I? Yes.
Amazing concept. No waiting for kid schedule. Corin's gonna love this someday.

No, no "honky tonks" for me tonight! You're just paranoid because you're childless for a bit!

So, I'm not the only one with a fondness for frozen burritos?
Unfortunately I'm out of ice cream and there isn't enough room in the freezer for me to put any. And with only me here it's not like I'm fixing to get the freezer really cleared out fast. I had bought a bunch of stuff for the company that we were supposed to have for graduation. Now, I have a fridge full of prepared stuff and a freezer full of stuff that I was going to fix the rest of the weekend.

Ya'll are probably really in for it with me being childless now. I've been a mom for 27 years. Now I will have to mother YOU.

It works for me. Yeah, and I think Corin's going to be really jealous. He'll have elf-envy.
