The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Posted on 12/17/2002 7:32:02 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Journey to the Cross-roads

The Two Towers Edition

Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)

Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

HA HA My voice isn't the one on the message! It's provided by the company. Freep me your phone number and I'll call you back from the cell. That way it won't cost either of us anything because it's a holiday! It was just off and plugged in to recharge because we got through to Grama's hospital room and talked to her a few minutes ago.

I still have to catch up on the thread from having my Myranda time. You might have to keep my from funkling.

So, what are you thinking about a moot tattoo? Are you on board? or not?

If it's henna...not a permanent one.

Henna would be fun, though!

I can't wait for entmoot! Like I said, I know the only bad part is going to be that there won't be enough time!

(It also needs a springer front end, right WN?)

Well, I'm personally partial to dyna front ends now-days. After many long trips, my ideal bike is a dyna-superglide. The one I want now it the T-Sport model. The rake on that front end would get pretty tiring after much time in the saddle.

But, for my all-time desire, I would like to have a chopped, raked old pan-head. Customized and chromed out of course.

Nope, They're henna. Suzy has a friend that has a kit that she said she could borrow and bring to entmoot. She's going to practice on the artistic parts before then. We were talking about doing something like the guys did. I was thinking that since they're henna, I can even put it where it would show at work. And by the time the dean gets ticked off it'd be about gone.

Nope, They're henna.

I would love it! I'm trying to get the mileage from your house to mine...

What about flying out of Tulsa to the Entmoot? If it's cheaper that way?

My deciding factor for times is going to be my class schedules. I am already thinking ahead enough to know that for the winter quarter I will offer my morning classes on Tuesday and Thursday. But, I'll have evening classes Monday through Thursday. That will mean I work until 9 or 9:30 Thursday night. So, I want the earliest flight out on Friday morning. Then, wouldn't actually have to be back here until Monday at 4:30. So, I could conceivable fly back on any flight that got me back into Dallas before 2 and slide in here in time.

Is there something to kill woodpeckers?

Vinyl siding took care of it for us...

I don't know the best route to take, but I'd still like to meet up with the g'nads and caravan with them...aren't they driving too?

You could get your HAM licenses. Myranda and I have ours. The Jedis might like doing that.
