The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Posted on 12/17/2002 7:32:02 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Journey to the Cross-roads

The Two Towers Edition

Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)

Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

It's lovely Sam! Absolutely wonderful. :)

I'm off to bed after spending my online time on the American Idol thread.

Good night everyone!

Good one Jen, but remember, only if you're dating dwarves.

Remember, one day he saw the Legolas look-alike on the corner somewhere near home or work? And he didn't get HIS number for either of us. He'll only fix us up with dwarves. And they would eat all the bacon up from us!

You got cache trouble?

Right here in River City...

I dunno. I just cleared everything out and rebooted. Still don't see them. My other graphics on the page are stored in the same location. That's why I can't figger it out. And it's weird that it doesn't show up for me on my profile page.

Legolas is too pretty for me. I'll take a nice Man of Gondor any day.

She would try to crash the county.

Actually, it's a beautiful resort. My neice used to be the sales manager there. But if she's ever in SW VA, it's worth the drive up the mountain.

That is, if the lake is still there. It's a spring fed lake on top of a mountain. One of the only two natural lakes in Virginia. The other being Lake Drummond in the Dismal Swamp.

But the lake is leaking. Apparently they've discovered it drains itself every 100 years. That could be like really bad for business...

I'm sorry Clay bit the dust.

Okay, so I really don't care, but I'm trying to make you feel better...

Thanks guys, I am much reassured that you guys think it's OK, I'll go with it then.

I'll probably be out of touch for about a week, but will be back then.

Take care, everyone.

"Apparently they've discovered it drains itself every 100 years"

Think of how easy it'll be to get fish when that happens, though ;-)

An Officer and a Gentleman right?

LOL!! May be. SSQ's sister uses that expression sometimes. It is hilarious to hear her say it!

I dreamt once that Puget Sound drained for some reason in front of our beach house and people looted the houses by coming up the beach.... Not that they couldn't have done that before at low tide. I can't 'xplain nor control my sub-conscious.
