The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I think from ksen's last post we are charging for just you.
I am trying to be sensitive to the families that will have already paid more than me for airfare to get there. I would rather get reluctant spouses in for free than have them VETO the whole thing because of the price!

So with Ramius that makes 9.
We need one more for sure to make this a go.
Note to all: This will not stop anyone else from getting in on this deal! So don't think that it will. If you make up your mind later that you want in let us know.
PS. I'd like one of the bedrooms because of the three kids, but we can live without one.

Maybe you could find a tarp done up as a flag. You could paint the tarp as you would a giant floor cloth!
I saw something cool yesterday. Someone had created a 'flag' out of picket fence pieces, and hung it on the front of their house. The points were on the ends away from the blue field of the flag to give it an almost tattered flag look. VERY country, but contemporary as well.

If your idea takes off, be sure to contact the base PAO and let them know what you're doing. Thanks. This is actually for 2J and Wneighbor. But that's good info. I knew someone could figger it out.
I'd consider it, but my house is camoflaged by oak trees...lots and lost of oak trees... I hate $#@%&^@#$ oak trees...
I'm just looking to replace a tarp on my kid's fort. I'll probably still go with the basic one and put up a flag pole like I'd planned.

I would love to do it! After they flew over yesterday, I know now that they look down!
I'm still so thrilled.
I think a picture of the flag and "THIS HOUSE SUPPORTS OUR TROOPS" would be good!

PJ-Comix lives in Ft. Lauderdale, should we invite him? 'scuse me whilst I call the bank and put a stop payment on my cheque...
To: HairOfTheDog
Hair, if it comes out to $500 for our family of 4 for a week, that is VERY GOOD. Hotels run at least $100 a night.

But I am hoping enough people will want to do the castle thing so that it happens. What a lovely setting for the moot, on a beach, with a pool.

CRAP! - I am a bad dog-parent! - I almost forgot Gidget's vet appointment at 9:00
Gotta get dressed!
To: 2Jedismom
Yeah - I think it is a really good deal too.

Remember also that we'll be having meals together and not spending a lot on eating out. The best part about this is that we can all chip in for groceries and cook (and eat) to our heart's content.
To: Sam Cree
Have a good weekend Sam.
To: HairOfTheDog
2J & family will definitely need a room then.
Ksen & family will too.
The rest of us can just thumb wrestle for one when we get there! LOL!

To: RMDupree
I'll just bring a sleeping bag and pillow and crash on the floor.
