Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Thanks for sharing your daughter's e-mail with us! Most, if not all of us here, share her feelings! These CODE PINK chicks remind me of the 'feminists' during x42's time in office. They supported him, no matter how he used and abused women, because he supported their favorite cause. These idiots support Sadaam because they HATE George W. Bush; it is as simple as that. They disgust me!

Instant drink powders are probably not a good idea.What about the kind sealed in pouches or sealed in cans? It would be obvious if they had been tampered with in any way.

Some time I think it would be fun to have a bathroom that could 'carry' a Mexican tile sink. SSQ and I went to Canada in 1985; he was giving a talk at a Statistics seminar. Some of the wives of the participants decided to go out shopping one day. We went looking for a particular Japanese potter, Kinya Ishikawa, who had a studio in the Laurentian mountains, close to where we were staying. It took a while, but we found his place and dropped in. He was so glad to have visitors that he proceeded to give us the grand tour of his workshop AND his house. The master bathroom had the most gorgeous sinks. His signature flower is an iris, and that's what he had painted and fired into the sinks! I wonder if he has a wesite now where he sells those things? I'll just have to go Googling to find out! I'd like to find someone who could do lilies!
His wife was just as talented. She made tiny ceramic flowers for use in jewelry. They were an interesting couple, and their hospitality was awesome!

I don't know if you saw it earlier, but I bought the AOE II Gold Edition. It came with the Conqueror's Expansion pack. After I have a chance to get used to it we'll have to arrange to have an online game.

Woo Hoo! They're talking on the radio about the Richmond Rally for America.
That Sunday (March 23rd) is the anniversary of Patrick Henry's "Give me liberty or give me death speech." So the actor that does it at St John's church will be at the rally and will give the speech! They're asking for all the veterans to show up. Glenn Beck will be there.
