Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

We have it on PS2, but haven't noticed any sound problems with it. I think at certain parts, like the beginning battle scene from the FOTR movie where the ring lord lays down such destruction the sound uses a serious sub-woofer or something, it is maybe too much for your television speakers? Fun game to play huh?

My daughter is only in her second winter of it (all this freezing weather and snow), she still likes it and finds it amazing.
I really liked seeing the pictures of you and Ecubh the RWRF family at the Minnemoot.
I once went on a fishing trip in the boundary waters of Minnesota, in October. It was reasonably chilly then, but we hit the peak of the fall colors, which were stunning. Caught lots of walleye, they are good eating, surprised me for a freshwater fish.

I think Bush is waiting for a couple of things. First to know we're in the area and ready to strike quickly and effectively and second to get the go ahead from Ridge that Homeland Security is ready, or at least better prepared than before.

Thanks, I'm so glad you liked it. And thank you for the beautiful valentine breakfast and coffeee.

Hi, Hair. I am hopelessly behind on the thread now, it seems to be moving along at a pretty good clip.
I think alot of folks, even Democrats, might be coming to the realization, that, as Carton pointed out, that we will always have to worry about terrorism as long as states (like Iraq) continue to provide safe harbor and aid to them.
I just wonder how long it will take the average guy to figure out that when, under Clinton, the Democrats gave up honesty and integrity, they also gave up caring about the country in favor of lust for power.
Is it still raining?

It is beautiful up north during the Fall. A friend and I drove up to Thunder Bay last Fall for a concert and saw gorgeous scenery on the way there. I would love to go up there again this year.

Do you think duct tape and plastic would work on our borders?

It is a bit complicated, but I think I can get through it as long as I keep a cool head.
My hands start sweating all over the mouse when I see the shadows and hear those galloping hooves and then I panic and run like crazy only to be caught!
To: ItsOurTimeNow
Whatever you do, don't put the ring on! I have never done it! He'll see me!
To: ksen
I think we should use the duct tape and plastic to package up the idiots at the UN and send 'em home...

Kinda like "Frogger"?I've never looked at it that way, OT! I was really good at Frogger once I learned the patterns. I have to keep that frame of mind when I play FoTR.
Then again, there was nothing like Nazgul in Frogger. Only alligators! LOL!
To: Sam Cree
Hi SAM!!!! So nice of you to check in with us. :)
Snow is so lovely, but it's the cold that accompanies it that I can't deal with. *shiver*
When will you be returning?
To: Corin Stormhands
...Hi Corin!
To: Corin Stormhands
Yes, I am not sure we are really done moving our people around, and I do also think that he will (sigh... and probably should) wait until there is something of a US and international 'mandate'. The phone calls are still being made. I think though, that it is human nature for all the nay-sayers to be criticizing now. The minute bombs actually fall on Baghdad.... there won't be visible opposition. People will jump on the bandwagon of the side that is winning.
To: RMDupree
Me too!!! It freaks me out I tell ya. I actually haven't played my game in quite a while. I'm sidetracked with SOCOM: US Navy Seals right now.
To: Corin Stormhands
Blix is speaking. Do we care? Or do we just want him to shut up so we can start the bombing? KABOOM!
To: Sam Cree
Is it still raining? ummmmm..... [looks outside] ...... Yes!
To: RMDupree
Carefuly Ruthy. Seamus warned you about putting on that ring...
To: RMDupree
I've never looked at it that way, OT! I was really good at Frogger once I learned the patterns.I got as far as the one with the exploding toxic waste drums when my HD died. I didn't want to pay for data recovery just for a stupid Frogger game!
Everything important was backed up.
