Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Little disrupting for fun? - I was thinking of registering at DU again some night.I lurked at DU once for five minutes, and then got the hell out of there. {shudder}.
Aside from the smirking obscene undertone of DU, I had the same feeling as working in the Detroit Receiving ER psych ward, where you need (and are extremely grateful for) the 300-pound orderly walking next to you.

Long story short. Tonite I went out at 9:00 p.m. because we needed stuff (you can't make do without diapers or coffee) and the wife took a nap this afternoon so she didn't get to the store. When I get back in she's talking to Jr. who is once again doing miserably in school.
Here's where I screwed up. I had laundry to do ('cause if I don't I don't get clean skivvies), I had dishes to do ('cause if I don't they stay on the sink), I had letters to write and stuff to deal with our taxes and finances.
So, since Jr. has expressed that he doesn't want me involved in school work and since I came in on the middle of the conversation, I didn't step in. Somewhere in their talk Mrs. told Jr. about an appointment she set up for him with a counselor. I have reluctantly agreed to this. Jr. adamantly doesn't want it and said he would not talk to his mother again until she cancels the appointment.
They ended in a standoff and the Mrs. comes to me with her coat on saying she's going out 'cause I left her all alone. Had I intervened, she would've cut me off mid-sentence everytime I tried to make a point.
But, as usual, this is all my fault.

I got banned last time after 5 posts over there. And I was holding back.... Trouble is, I need to lay low with innocuous posts for awhile to gain a high enough post count to get two sentences out.
But I can't. They are so unbelievably twisted. Thing is, they aren't even Democrats. I know Democrats. DU is just wacky fringe bizarro land.

Good morning! So far today is going a lot better than yesterday. Came in early and took care of two of the systems that weren't working, with the help of my boss.
And there's new snow. Not great on the roads, but it's beautiful up here!
