Men are not wearing enough hats!
The Meaning of Life ^

CHAIRMAN:
...Which brings us once again to the urgent realization of just how much there is still left to own. Item six on the agenda: the meaning of life. Now, uh, Harry, you've had some thoughts on this.
HARRY:
That's right. Yeah, I've had a team working on this over the past few weeks, and, uh, what we've come up with can be reduced to two fundamental concepts. One: people are not wearing enough hats. Two: matter is energy. In the universe, there are many energy fields which we cannot normally perceive. Some energies have a spiritual source which act upon a person's soul. However, this soul does not exist ab initio, as orthodox Christianity teaches. It has to be brought into existence by a process of guided self-observation. However, this is rarely achieved, owing to man's unique ability to be distracted from spiritual matters by everyday trivia.
[pause]
BERT:
What was that about hats, again?
HARRY:
Oh, uh, people aren't wearing enough.
CHAIRMAN:
Is this true?

EDMUND:
Certainly. Hat sales have increased, but not pari passu, as our research initially--
BERT:
But when you say 'enough', enough for what purpose?
GUNTHER:
Can I just ask, with reference to your second point, when you say souls don't develop because people become distracted,...
[rumble]
...has anyone noticed that building there before?

Okay, I'm not gonna keep sluggin' this one out.

Call me ancient, or whatever. Leaving a hat on indoors (for other than noted exceptions) is bad manners.

Period.

Maybe it's because I have a 13-year-old failing 8th grade that I'm trying to keep from becoming a slug...

I know Corin...

Smile as often as you can. None of my failures at 13 still hold me back today. He won't be a slug... just a teenager.

I love hats my own self, but it is imperative that one care for them properly since they can be breeding grounds for parasites...

I do believe that is the first time I ever saw Elton John in a hat, Fin.

A hat is appropriate for this time of year.

I wear hats at times (right after a haircut mostly). I like the Australian Bush Hat type. But I have thick, curly hair (think hobbit with finger in socket). So if it gets a little longer (thicker) I can't wear hats very effectively or comfortably.

Hats are cool. Women look good in hats too, by the way.

Hi, Hair, thanks for posting this. I'm always looking for a hat to wear when it's cool or cold, as alot of heat is dissapated through your extremities, such as your head.

But guys don't wear them anymore, which seems foolish.

I will try to post an image of one I just bought, to wear with my fancy coat, in cold weather.

Will read the article in a minute too :-)

"Women look good in hats too, by the way."

Yes, good point Scott, that's very much true - both my wife and my daughter, and even my sister in law, look great in hats.

I think men should wear more hats.

Rose says I would look good in a Stetson, but I disagree. The thought of wearing a fedora appeals to me, though.

I wear a Packers stocking cap when I go visiting up north.

My dad had a bill cap that said "Old F*rt" on it... it was given to him as a joke, but he liked to wear it outside now and then.
