In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

According to published reports, the test-tube penises are able to wriggle like worms, and each one seems to have a mind of its own. Alarmingly, a number of the penises have escaped from the lab and are on the loose."

That story is a little hard to swallow..........

Dem's summit would be an atelier
The gist of which would be, "Hey!
The tax cut is bad
And it should be shed,
That's the bad economics for today."

Well now. Who'd have thought that those of us who are sitting in our ateliers and merrily chatting online, are, in fact, insulting democracy. I kid you not.

See you tomorrow, gang, I'm about to save the republic by turning off my computer and spending the day at Santa Anita.

This from the online edition of Weekly World News:

I am losing my grip on reality!

Dear Dotti:
Lately, I seem to be losing my grip on reality. It was little things at first, voices coming out of the radio and the TV when they were off. Then came the secret messages in newspapers and magazines. Then people who only I can see were giving me career advice and helping me solve lengthy math problems that won me a Nobel Prize. Now, here’s the weird part: I got this guy following me around, claiming to be a Hollywood producer, telling me he wants to make a movie out of my life! What do you think? — Pitiful Mind in Princeton

Dear Pitiful:
It is true, you have lost your grip on reality. It’s time to seek professional help. Your life is like a math equation that just doesn’t add up.

That you, Max??

Leftists just whine and pontificate from their ateliers while doing nothing.

The anti-Yanks are all talk, no action (Steyn)

Oh, now I see. Thanks ! I missed that survey.

They make Cuban cigars in Canada? I guess they buy the tobacco and deliver them "no assembly required", huh?
