this red pj's thing reminds me of a time when I was dating very seriously my hubby....he was in the service and I in school and he came home with me to my parents house for Christmas....

well, for a present on Christmas morning he gives me these very skimmy, silk pj's....I opened them right in front of my parents and my younger brothers...I was so embarressed!

of course...the next year, after we were marrried, what does he buy me?.....heavy cotton pj's with footies.....I am not kidding.....lol

Have wondered about this family allowing her wear these particular p.j.s. Actually, it's the color choice of nail polish that intrigues me.

You're going to miss me. ;) Won't be back for a while.

Double LOL - I missed the "footies." Before marriage, he didn't know cold feet. Same thing at my house.

Hey, you take care. House guests are arriving tomorrow before noon, & I don't know when they're leaving. Good friends or I'd corner them for a date.

"Isn't it funny how people can be so impressed by the comments of one bishop, and so scornful of another bishop, simply b/c as yet unproven allegations have been made against him? "

have you read all the threads since the beginning?...

if you did, you would have noticed that anyone at all who dare question the LDS church or its members was quickly denounced....one and all....you can't even say that something is a possibility that puts any member of the the Mormon church in a bad light....you can't criticize the slc Mormon cops, or the Smarts, or the goodly neighbors, or the church elders without being the subject of the "gangs" wrath....

I actually find it amusing that now, at the funeral of the hated Ricci, its' one of the LDS own that defends him....

So is that why people are so lavishly praising the eulogy given by the Mormon bishop for Richard Ricci? Have YOU read all the threads since the beginning? Seems to me that anyone who dares to denounce Richard Ricci, a man who was definitely known to have committed a number of crimes, has been the subject of the gang's wrath. By the way, kudos to some of your friends for finding at least one Mormon whom they apparently considered as pure as the driven snow: Angela Ricci.

I actually find it amusing that now, at the funeral of the hated Ricci, it's one of the LDS own that defends him...

Gosh, you don't suppose those LDS people actually believe in all that Christian charity stuff, do you? The poor, dead loser needed all the friends he could get. Even his own mother and siblings "couldn't make it" to his memorial service. Yet there were the hated LDS members, praying their hearts out for him.

Well, the pajamas didn't look to me like they were revealing. I don't think it would be good for a family to let their daughter parade around the house near her brothers and father wearing something revealing. But as for "sexy" fabrics, etc., how much energy should a parent really expend on making each and every item of their daughter's clothing be precisely appropriate? I'd have thought them more abnormal if they got involved in every minute detail even down to her pajamas, except, as I said, that I consider it normal to make her cover herself appropriately. As for the aqua nail polish, there are many far more garish, and some downright hideous, colors to be seen on girls' nails nowadays. I'd bet that type of color is probably all one sees when one shops in the young women's section. Sure we'll miss you! Next time, remember--read it in the checkout line. The NE almost always overstates its contents on its front page. And the best part is, every scant bit of new stuff can be gleaned from its articles just by skimming them as you load groceries onto the belt.

we actually had a person here celebrating his death and that it was God's divine will that he died....Christian????

yes...I have been here since day one....read every single post except for these last two weeks when I took a vacation....no matter....its the same old...same old here....

I think it is grand that the LDS church found some good in Ricci, and I am glad that my church gave him last rights as well....that is the way it should be....

Wonderful post Cherry. I'm glad you pointed all that out. Some people seem to think that because Ricci was a criminal that he didn't deserve any Christian charity. Thank God that none of us get what we deserve.

As I've already said once, Ricci was God's creation.

Therefore, there was goodness in Ricci. That goodness came from God. I just fail to see where there was any goodness in the man that came from the man himself.

Who's celebrating the man's death? And I see your friend is engaging in the time-honored tradition of lecturing to Christians on how best to be Christian.

And their are plenty of liberals on this thread with no sense that'll stand by their man no matter what. Bizarre, man.

The same liberals you refer to - you know the Ricci lovers on this thread - are the very same ones who were touting a "poll" on one of the Westerfield threads which indicated 90% of the participants thought Westerfield was innocent. If I were one of them I would hang my head in shame after the news that came out of San Diego today about a Westerfield plea bargain underway when the body was found. These people are INCREDIBLY STUPID, yet they rant and rave about the virtues of the Riccis. PATHETIC. And we are supposed to be tolerant of such stupidity - yeah, right!

That is another outrageous lie! I was not "celebrating his death", I simply asked the question of whether or not Ricci's death was "devine intervention". Paul Harvey said the next day that the case "had been referred to a higher court". Was he celebrating too?

Do you live such a miserable, pathetic life that you have found it necessary to twist and distort hard facts in this case and attack personal opinions expressed on these threads?

The girl was named Lin Lee. I think she was about 20 or 21. She was sleeping in the guest room of the home of Sue Ann Adams, a Federal Heights neighbor of the Smarts.

According to my memory of the affidavit supporting the indictment of Ricci for this burglary, Ricci had been doing work in that very bedroom, that day. When it was late at night, Ms. Lee was asleep, but awoke b/c of a rustling noise in the room where she was sleeping. She vaguely saw a figure standing by the dresser. Half-asleep, and thinking it was an Adams family member, she mumbled, "you can turn the light on if you want." The person responded by coughing or "grunting." Ms. Lee rolled over and fell back asleep.

The next day, $300 was missing from the dresser. Also, a sliding glass door somewhere in the house had been tampered with.

I hadn't read this before. I always thought the Adams house guest was a man, not a young woman. I find this interesting. Ricci didn't kidnap this young lady even though the circumstances are similar to the Elizabeth and Ricci scenario.

LOLLOL! I wouldn't have told my parents I thought something was sexy either! Your kids are smarter than you, sandude.

Maybe he just has established a better rapport with his kids than your parents established with you. Maybe his kids trust him more than you trusted your parents at that age--and vice versa.
