"reverse snobbery" It's reverse something. I'm sure if we all started bashing the Mormon church and the neighbors varina would start saying Ricci & his lowlife friends do look like the perpetrators.
To: sandude
This is a good theory - accounts for lots.
To: spore-gasm
Jolly Green:
Sherlock, Devil-Anse, sandude and I will all buy into your theory IF you provide just one little shred of evidence to support your theory. Just one! spore-gasm: Wow, the Quadrangle of Fear! I'm shaking in my cowgirl boots, JG. Threaten someone else. You've become a bigger joke than this investigation.
Who did I threaten? I guess merely pointing out the nonsense in your posts is a threat. Why didn't you provide a shred to support your lame-assed theory? You are the laughing stock around here.

...or uttering false checks.
NO ONE uses this term unless they're in law enforcement, an attorney or a news reporter. You've blown your cover
It's the common usage.
To: varina davis
Heh, varina! Inverted snob....I can just see you standing on your head in a sleek number by Coco Chanel, crushing your darling Lily Dache' chapeau, and getting your white gloves all soiled--while reading Forbes's "The Social Register". ;)
To: Devil_Anse
I just have a nagging, vague memory that Moul said ... I don't remember for sure one way or the other. It doesn't matter much because Moul said he did like Rick.

I've been thinking about the lack of information coming from LE, the contradictory statements from Dinse and the FBI regarding the case, and the fact that the case seems to be stalled. Do you think much of this could be due to a lack of cooperation between SLCPD and the FBI? It sure wouldn't be the first time that issues between local LE and the Feds contributed to a botched case.
To: Devil_Anse
There is still some uncertainty, but the poster gave as backup for this: I don't know where the poster got the 3 June date. I've never seen that anywhere and I read the article that he referenced and it had nothing about 3 June.

Why am I being so generous? The facts are what's important. If they end up giving Angela some wiggle room then so be it. we now have to try to determine which date is correct.

The term for this is "inverted snob," and I too have remarked to myself that Varina is such a case. Which reminds me... I can't imagine how you escaped being included in the Quadrangle of Fear. Certainly you should be an honorary member i.e. a Pentagon of Fear or maybe it needs to be a three dimensional pyramid kind of thing with five points - LOL.
To: jengaio
Petrification We could name the opposing side the Pentagon of Putrification.

Heh, varina! Inverted snob....I can just see you standing on your head in a sleek number by Coco Chanel, crushing your darling Lily Dache' chapeau, and getting your white gloves all soiled--while reading Forbes's "The Social Register". ;)Describes me to a T, Palladin! LOL, actually, it's bleached spotted jeans, a Tee-shirt and flip-flops tonight -- but I was engrossed in Vanity Fair earlier.

It's the common usage.Maybe in courthouses.
To: varina davis
No, it's common - you'll see it quite often. Specialised language often becomes common parlance.

No, it's common - you'll see it quite often. Specialised language often becomes common parlance. It's not really worth arguing about. It's a legal term and not one commonly HEARD.

The only possibility of family involvement would surely be INDIRECTLY, maybe by simply knowing or being an acquaintance of the perpetrator without knowing he was capable of such a thing.Sorta like Ed Smart's acquaintance with Ricci, and poor Ed "not knowing that [Rick] was cabable of such a thing." So we've been of the same mind all along!

So we've been of the same mind all along!Yes, that COULD have been an example, but since there is no evidence linking Ricci, then it's more likely to be someone else in the community, neighborhood, etc.
It's unfortunate you took my post out of context.
To: FR_addict
#668 The rush to judgment - and SLCPD wouldn't have open their files & tell us what evidence they had on Ricci. Probably not.

I'm wearing a long Polynesian floral dress tonight. There's a tiny pocket sewn in the center of the back! It isn't a mistake -I have another dress in a different floral just like this one, also with a pocket.
I can't fathom why the pockets on the back? A joke on Americans for buying their junk?
