Judge William D. Do you know if there was any Layla hair found a Dehesa. While I was tossing and turning at 3AM that thought popped into my weary brain.

**Right now, I cannot homeschool. Are there HS parents who "take in" kids and hs them along with their own kids? **
That would depend on the state you live in. For California it'd be a no-no. Best bet would be to check out www.hslda.org and pose the question. You can click on your state for legal information pertaining to this. :o)

Unfortunately, we'll always have evil people in this world...it's really too bad that this generation is experiencing what seems to be the worst of depravity, that we have to warn, train, and coach our children to ward of evil-doers. Makes me ill inside.
I am sure we can find the stats on the recidivism rate on molestors and child rapists, it would be good to know because since there is no cure they should be treated differently. IMHO, convicted child sex offenders should never be released from prison...they are a menace to society..

That should have read..

San Diego police arrested Whitmore on Jan. 27 The same day Danielle's body was found. My they were busy that day.All this January February stuff is confusing me. Did Danielle die in Jan or Feb???
Karson, I now realize your confusion. It was just pointed out to me that I said 1/27 was the day Danielle's body was found. I was wrong. When I read the article and read 1/27 I was thinking 2/27.
Still though the forensic evidence by the prosecution witnesses testimony gave such wide range of time of death that according to them she could have been dead in Jan. based on their tests.
Now they know and we know that is not the case.
Although I don't think anyone other than the VanDams has testified as to when they last saw Danielle. Hmmmmmmmmm!

I think the judge has made some very bad judgment calls. Taking a vacation in the middle of the trial--limiting the defense evidence--not sequestering the jury--any one care to add?

I agree...but I'll add to that, Kim. I think they should receive the death penalty for molestation.

Don't you feel bad about confusing the dates...the court reporter or transcriber did the same thing with February 4th...it is written as 1/4 throughout the transcript.

Makes me wonder if he knows something and is protecting the vanDams. What a horrid thought.
To: the-gooroo
I would have not allowed media coverage
I know it would take away from what we are doing here, but think overall, it has hindered the case.
To: homeschool mama; the-gooroo
I completely agree about the judge taking a vacation. From what has been posted on this forum (and others) by people who live in that area....maybe they should have been sequestered. That is a horrid thought homeschool mama...and it's not the first time it was brought up. Our natural inclination to believe that the justice system is "working".....is what we want... I have to believe that it is ran better than our publik educashun sistum....

Chemical castration isn't a bad punishment either, followed by mandatory sterilization to prevent them from having children.

Thinking, thinking, thinking. Brenda. Brenda has worn an orange sweater to court. And you think all orange fibers would match microscopically in every way?
You contend that Brenda's orange fibers ended up in DW's bed, all laundry, SUV and MH? You think Brenda's orange sweater is the source of the fibers?
I realize the analysis wasn't done, but I don't see why it would, as the greatest number of these fibers were in DW's house, not in, say, Danielle's bedroom, which they certainly did search for any fiber evidence.

Agent Allegedly Asks Woman To Hold Up Vibrator
POSTED: 8:43 a.m. EDT July 26, 2002
CLEARWATER, Fla. -- A lawsuit filed in Clearwater seeks unspecified damages of more than $15,000 from Delta Airlines for asking a woman returning from a Las Vegas vacation to hold up a vibrator that she had in her travel bag.
The suit accuses Delta of negligence, gender discrimination and the intentional infliction of emotional distress.
The plaintiff, Renee Koutsouradis, said that the agent took her to the bag on the tarmac and forced her to open it 'and remove the adult toy and hold it up for visible view.''
She claims three men employed by Delta "began laughing hysterically'' and offered "obnoxious and sexually harrasing comments.''
Michael Boyd, an airline planning and security consultant from Colorado, said embarrassing incidents have become more common with increased security by all airlines since Sept. 11.
He said his guideline would be to leave anything embarrassing at home, just in case.

Let us not forget the "before the store opened", shopping trip at Nordstroms, where Brenda purchased a $250 skirt (and what else?), so she could appear in public looking HOT (in her own mind).
BTW, Damon was more of a Mr. Clean than Westerfield. Don't recall DW steam-cleaning his carpets that weekend?

But since the prosecution neglected to provide a SOURCE for ANY of the fibers, we are all left to assumption.
