Good morning Mom and Loddy.. How do!!
It is hotter than blazes here today..and steamy... I was going to go out and take pics or drive down to Mass, but my nephew is coming home from the hospital today, after over twenty days, and it's not a good time for a visit, and the humidity is too bad for pic taking or scenery scouting.. The car would get too hot opening and closing the door all the way up or down the coast... I'll stay where it's cool I guess.

Habs...I just loved Kukla, Fran and Ollie...when I was a kid, I never realized how many folks watched Kukla Fran and Ollie....they had their TV studio in Chicago, and for years, I just assumed they were only local, never realizing, everyone across the nation was also watching them...I used to love all the characters, but my favorite, was little Deloras Dragon, Ollies little cousin or niece...she was so sweet, and had such a teeny little voice, that I enjoyed her so much...
The Chicago HIstorical Society in Chicago, has a website about them....am not sure if they also have an exhibit in their museum about those wonderful puppets, but would not be surprised if they did...its really a wonderful little museum in Chicago, near the lakefront, and for visitors to Chicago, its really a must see, to see the history of Chicago...one of my favorite museums...
Lodwick...we have often said, it was too bad, mom and especially dad, died before the internet took off...they would have dearly enjoyed it...Dad loved reading and learning, all of his life, so the internet would have been a gold mine for him...
Growing up in our household, was often like a three ring circus...one never knew, from day to day, what was going to happen....growing up, our home was always filled with tons of kids, who came over just about every day of the week...our house was like the meeting place for all my friends...
All the kids called my mom and dad, 'ma and pa'(like in Ma and Pa Kettle)...and often my mom and dad acted as advisors, substitute parents, and such to all these kids...long after most of them had grown up, they still kept in touch with my parents, just because they always admired them so....
And, my parents were great fun...

I am mutable, so I can be anything I wish, including a dreg or flake, or both ;-)

This cat looks more like, "That bird is talking about me.. he needs some cement shoes for his birdbath."
The other cat is in post 494. The tuxedo cat.
Had to go to court yesterday. The defendant and his lawyer never showed. Rescheduled to the 29th. Grrrrr.

loddy, astrology is not new age
I studied it in the '60s
I scoured the used bookstores in lower manhattan and found books written by eccentric british colonels published in england in 1910
Major Appletree's book was not that great, altho I read ''it's a sin to bury your talent under a napkin'' there
which is what made me decide to finally give writing a whirl
''Astrology and the Soul'' was written by another Britisher a long time ago
that is where I grasped the structure
I don't put a whole lot of credence in astrology
anybody can be or do whatever we want
we are unlimited infinite beings
but it was a fun hobby for a while
