This article indicates that perhaps you may want to rethink those procedures. I am glad that I haven't gone down that route.
Yes, it has been suggested for me. My reason for declining is that I didn't feel a chemical fix for a self-limiting problem is appropriate.
Actually, the title of the article is misleading. The label comes from a FORMER CIA psychologist. Although this may seem like a no-brainer, perhaps by releasing reports such as this one, the admin is establishing the ground-swell needed to justify a covert op.
Part of the reason for the treatment is self-limiting, but other reasons, like the bone-loss element is not.
But like you, am glad I haven't taken that route...
We probably don't want to turn the thread today into a discussion of this subject, but if anyone is facing this decision and wants to contact me via FRmail, feel free...
Exactly. Thanks.
...My Magnolias are at different levels of menopause....
..Some have gone through it...
.some haven't.....(I haven't).....
...Many of them have found this wonderful little herb supplement ....at the local health food store.
I'm sure it's not for everyone, and I'm not recommending it.....
...but it seems to give relief to my friends.
Also, for everyone who can, I recommend getting a complete physical so your doctor has a good profile....as you approach this season in your life.
My doctor has had me take an EKG, chest xray, bone density scan, etc......so he can monitor any changes.
I just attended a 'health talk'.....and another doctor was giving the women present the OK for hormone replacement....(this was several weeks ago)
...She didn't exactly pan the little herbal remedy I mentioned, but she didn't flat out deny it either.
....My suggestion is ask your doctor what he thinks.
My doctor takes a more holistic approach to medicine, and is not fast to recommend pills & such.
Good Morning Everyone :)
We had summer here on the N OR coast! It came on July 9th this year and was 99 degrees! Now, we are back to the mid 50's.
