We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
WorldCom announced they will decide within the next three weeks whether they have to file for bankruptcy protection. Analysts seem to think it is a foregone conclusion. It would be the largest such filing in US history, doubling the size of the Enron folding.
An Al Qa'eda audio tape has a spokesperson assuring the world The Evil One and Mullah Omar are alive and well.
A group of parents in Oakland, CA, are suing the school district for violation of the Establishment Clause. No, this time it is not Christianity that is at question. The action focuses on what has popped up in the news of late about certain practices in public schools in Kantafordia. According to The Washington Times, the parents filed suit because the schools, after September 11, "encouraged students to wear Muslim robes, adopt Islamic names, and stage make-believe pilgrimages to Mecca to learn about the faith."
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
lysander - this morning it was the West with the Chairman, tonite it is Maine with jtill....
I have this image of them fighting over you:
Chair: Hey I'M tying her to MY car!!
jtill: oh no you DON'T SIR:she's going with MY carry on!!
LOL!
There are usually two or more pilots capable of flying the plane. Don't let the RINOs or libs convince you that this is a bad idea. It's not.
5.56mm
But those of you in a far better position to know than I am have convinced me that one pilot could fly the plane while the other used a hijacker for target practice.
I guess if the pilot put a few holes through the hijacker/terrorist, there wouldn't be any chaos in the cockpit .....
What I love about ATRW is that we can speak up ... voice our doubts and concerns ... and those with better knowledge or a different perspective can persuade/dissuade/debate ...... and it's all done so civilly .....
I love this place as much as I hate the media ..... and that's a LOT!!!
Nita ~~~ I'm not talking about your Chaos ..... it's ok with me if he's in the cockpit as long as he's behaving ...... *grins*
So Townsend's falling in the polls!!!??
Gleefully laughing here...
Now a tape of Cheney has surfaced praising Arthur Anderson.....
Someone hit the panic button it seems...
And you are right about ATRW...I have been doing some lurking on other posts/places and the virtirol (SP?) and fighting is getting quite out of hand (ALL PRESENT COMPANY EXCLUDED OF COURSE)/
What I remember most was the gorgeous flowers everywhere.
On even the modest little homes, were flowerboxes of brightly colored flowers.
....the weather at night was cool to cold, and the ocean was ice cold!
That was our first big vacation where we left the kids behind with their grandparents. :)
This time we're tinkering with the idea of taking the ferry over to Nova Scotia.
I wonder if the mass of people will find this as distasteful as we do?
If Carvile is in on this, he needs to be driven from Washington, and I don't care what Mary Madlin thinks.
I mean there are a lot of attacks this week .. and it's only WED.
I grew up near the ocean, Molly, and just love it ..... hubby and I did a whole lot of courting at the beach ..... in a time when neither of us had any spare nickels, a day at the beach was a good way to spend time together and the only cost was the gas to get there and a Coke or two.
The ocean has so many different moods that it's amazing ..... and I always felt close to God there.
On rare days, the ocean is as still as a pond, with small waves making a soft little plopping sound as they break at the shore line ..... and at other times, when a storm is approaching, the fury and might of the ocean are exhilarating and awe-inspiring as giant waves crest, break far out, form up again and thunder against the pilings of a pier and onto the beach ...... oh, the ocean is magnificent at such times.
Usually it is somewhere between those two extremes .... but I have always found it very soothing and peaceful to sit on the beach and watch the ever-changing waves rolling in .... one after another after another ..... constant and yet always different at the same time ....
We really miss living near the beach though are enjoying being close enough to the mountains that we can be there in little over an hour. They, too, speak of God's majesty ..... but they don't evoke in me the emotions of the ocean .... at least our NC mountains don't ..... the Rockies are a different matter .... they spoke to my soul also .... :-)
Can the DNC internal polls be this bad after all it's only July...
...I have a hankering to go to Prince Edward Island--(Anne of Green Gables is my favorite!)
.......and also Halifax (where there is much history on the Titanic, and also final resting places)
.....also, one of my long ago favorite stories is Evangeline....
My husband wants to see the Bay of Funday?.....Fundy?.....(sp)
We've sent off for all kinds of brochures & maps & stuff.
This would be sometime in the Fall.....(if this darn fly doesn't upset the ointment!)
I like to sit by the lakes up in Wisconsin early in the morning for the same reason. Calm and peaceful. I never get tired of it.
We are witnessing pure panic..
Only here on our Thread can you wax lovely & lyrical about the ocean....(felt like I was there!)
...and Dog & Miss Marple can follow with posts about the latest scandal or political intrique :)
This place is special, yes :)
Last night you lost your mind tonight I have flipped out. :-)
Racist, huh? Jerks!!!
...takes small sabbaticals of overnight or two just to walk on the ocean shore for hours on end, comtemplating God's place for him.......or focusing on new sermon material.
Usually there's at least one family living on the beachside, who will put him up for the night.
