We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
WorldCom announced they will decide within the next three weeks whether they have to file for bankruptcy protection. Analysts seem to think it is a foregone conclusion. It would be the largest such filing in US history, doubling the size of the Enron folding.
An Al Qa'eda audio tape has a spokesperson assuring the world The Evil One and Mullah Omar are alive and well.
A group of parents in Oakland, CA, are suing the school district for violation of the Establishment Clause. No, this time it is not Christianity that is at question. The action focuses on what has popped up in the news of late about certain practices in public schools in Kantafordia. According to The Washington Times, the parents filed suit because the schools, after September 11, "encouraged students to wear Muslim robes, adopt Islamic names, and stage make-believe pilgrimages to Mecca to learn about the faith."
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
I have so much stored bandwidth, that you can write us all a book to refer to any time you can't post on ATRW.
All the best!
..... Our prayers will take wings and accompany you on your flight!
....methinks John might be too busy packing to take advantage of it, though:(((.....
....but it's the idea that counts.....
...and John, we're sure going to miss you!!!!!
We are suppose to fly to Boston, and take a car from there to Southwest Harbour, Maine for our vacation......
...but my husband called today, and there might be a fly in the ointment :(
I didn't care to be 'wanded'.....but everything else went very smoothly.
Take a good book.....and enjoy your grandkiddoes.
Yes, I'll be after *prayin* for your safe and easy travel ...
OH! Maine!!! ... had I another life ... I would live it in a small seaport town in Maine ... collectin' shells and stories,, too ... how beyond cool, jtill!
Enjoy your Grandkiddos ... and squish some sand ... which may have traveled from as far away as Morocco ... buffeted and churned about by the seas ... soes it could kiss your toes ... *grins*
Uh-oh ... who's after waterin' your garden ... and Rocke ... how about him?!
See?! We all take us ... when we take our leave ... LOL!
I love Maine. Hubby and I had our honeymoon there.
Travel prayers.
Being a confirmed Kantifornian, displaced from Chicago, I have to admit that I do love Maine. It's the humidity that kills me, but I love the territory!
I had a spectacularly anti-martha moment(s) this morning.
Since my cable was out ... my brain strained and came up with the thought to launder ALL my pillows!
Yes!... 'twas a plan.
Unaware that two of the pillows had fairly large rips in the seams ... in they went to the washer ...
Taking them out ... I saw nothing untoward ... for my laundry is in the hall ... which is dark ... and I was in a rush ... to the dryer, they were consigned ...
One hour later ... I opened the dryer door ... and it looked like I had slaughtered a 40 pound goose ....
The "kids" don't live in a seaport town per se, but they live on the water. A cove near Bath, with the ocean not far away. It's lovely to sit on their deck with the water sploshing around and watch the fish, etc.
We will certainly be at the seashore and I'll be sure to squish that sand!
