How do freepers earn their living?
none ^ | now | me

I was just curious and wanting to know what we all do for a living when we're not here scouring the threads of FR. So what do YOU do for a living?

I was just reading what my Fellow Freepers do for a living and I saw what you do. If you don't mind my asking, Freeper to Freeper, is it a Home Based Web Busisness? I am curious because I spend so much damn time on the Computer that I was thinking of starting my own home based business; I just don't know where to turn. I know there are many out there, that are advertised and I usually get about 100 Emails a day because, in the past, I signed myself up to get the info, which in hind sight was a huge mistake.

I am a chef and am tired of it. I would like to move into different areas to see what is out there. I am kind of limited out in the real workforce in that I don't really have a voice and I am not able to take tests do to an accident that I was in as a kid. Any info that you, Paulus, might have, or any other of my fellow Freepers might have would be greatly appreciated.

God Bless and and have a nice day, to all of my fellow Freepers.

My wife's and my email is: timandpatty@mindspring.com

Illustrator and graphic designer. Great work if you can get it.

Tip to parents: if your kid's interested in graphic design or illustration (a growing field), don't waste money on a big name school or getting a degree. Thankfully, the ONLY thing pros care about is your work. At the entry level, the only two things the pros care about are your work and your knowledge of Photoshop, Quark and Illustrator in descending order. You can learn these at seminars but you're better off just buying the computer, the software and letting your kid figure it out for himself.

Some benefits of the trade: you can work full-time, part-time, full and part-time, or freelance. Like nursing, the flexible working arrangements can be ideal for mothers. Plus you can work at home. I have several clients that I have worked with for years that I have never met. We correspond by fax, e-mail and telephone.

First I became a barber when very young, then went back to school and got a chemistry degree and worked as a chemical lab tech, and now I am a barber again with my own shop in a small, rural town. I'm also a housewife, with a husband, 2 dogs and 3 cats to take care of. I'm often on FR late at night here, which is kind of a lonely time as Freepers in the other time zones are normally sleeping!

Whoremonger/ prostitute. (Actually, I'm an attorney, with nearly 20 years of commercial litigation experience representing architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, construction materials suppliers, developers, and just about anyone else who is willing to pay me $290 to screw their adversary.)

I first saw Metheny in concert at age 16 in Miami at Gusman. Have seen him at least seven more times. Words cannot describe his show. Just recently saw the As It Is tour in Greenville SC. He played a 3 hour set.
