When our crowd gets a little to happy they will dance on the floor, tables or bar and when they get really happy the costumes start changing. The lamp shade becomes headgear. Watch out!

Help me tell GrandMom about the lampshade.

OK. When the Lounge first opened up we had a few Lounge lizards that imbibed a little too much on a regular basis. We had, at one time, a floor lamp in the corner by the jukebox.
Whenever one of the over imbibers would get to the point that they couldn't remember, or didn't care, we would put the lampshade on them hat fashion and see how it would get passed from one imbiber to another.
There were times that no one knew the next morning, or the next week for that matter, who had ended up with the lampshade and worn it home .

It was a very distinctive lampshade so everyone that frequented the lounge knew what it looked like and if they found it at their home they knew that there would be stories that they wouldn't remember from the Friday before when they were in the Lounge.
They also knew that those stories would be brought out whenever they entered the Lounge with the lampshade.
Now, if someone offers you the lampshade they are trying to do one of two things.
Either, they are trying to get themselves off the hook by having someone else bring the lampshade back, or they are trying to tell you that you're starting to drink a little too much.
Don't take the lampshade under any circumstances if you are in any shape to refuse it.

An old flame used to drink that stuff. It isn't bad for a drink or two, but it's pretty sweet. Wine is actually my drink of choice, but beer is a real strong second!

Hey, Joe and everyone! Pleeease keep me on the list...I am here every Friday unless hubby wants to go out to dinner. Where I work, we nearly always knock off early on Fridays, and today we quit even earlier because it is Fiesta. I'd rather celebrate right here than to fight my way through a crowd getting jostled and having beer spilled on me the whole damned time I am there "having fun"-so please, sir, bring on the Miller Lite and an ashtray.....And,let me add that Freepers are a MUCH better crowd than the ones at Fiesta, and I can drink beer instead of having it spilled on me! I see new people! Welcome, GrandMoM! You'll love it here.

Made Sour Mash Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey"......
