I totally agree that President Trump's messaging is some of the worst and most erratic I have ever seen from an American President.

Especially since some of it is so unnecessary and diametrically opposed to his official positions on China.

I understand that a large percentage of our small private colleges and even some of our larger ones are struggling to find students and 600K Chinese students would solve the problem but to come out with that idiocy on the heels of disclosures of massive technology theft and espionage by China at major research universities is a sure way to infuriate and alienate his base.

And the Trump Administration was handed a political messaging gift from god with disclosures about billions of blatantly stolen welfare dollars in Minnesota by the Somali community and his totally unnecessary DHS ICE debacle in Minnesota totally distracted from the billions in welfare fraud
