CEOs, get ready: Democratic oversight is coming for corporate America
The (s)Hill ^

When the 120th Congress convenes in January 2027, Big Business could find itself in the crosshairs. Second only to administration officials, the Trump family itself and political operatives, corporate America may sit near the top of Democrats’ ambitious oversight agenda.

Signs point to an exceptionally tough two years for business leaders, whom many on the left believe cowered under pressure from the president.

And the implications for corporate America are consequential. Companies that cultivated cozy White House relationships, financed presidential initiatives, secured lucrative government contracts, or benefited from lax enforcement could soon find themselves in the hot seat during contentious congressional hearings.

(snip)

But there is a cautionary tale for Democrats as well.

Whether they control one house of Congress or two, Democrats must remember that punishing business is not the same as protecting the public. They can demand corporate accountability without declaring war on business. American companies employ millions of people, invest billions of dollars and compete in a global economy against foreign rivals determined to capture and control our markets. Congress should be mindful that political spectacle carries an economic price, and that price is rarely paid by CEOs alone. It falls on employees, shareholders, consumers and communities.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

At least the author sees the risk. Democrats are used to companies bending. Imagine a large corporation setting aside the typical happy talk and bluntly telling their employees everything these Democrats are up to. And if there are phone conversations, make sure its a one party venue and RECORD it.

Maybe suggest a 'bounty fund', like in the movie 'Ransom'.

Oversight will occur for those corporate leaders who do not bend over and spread their financial cheeks for Demonicrat politicians.

And how much are these businesses getting in tax breaks? How many of their full time employees are on welfare? How much did they pay in taxes last year?

I hope all the leftist tech CEO’s pay through the nose and then the Dims flip them over and make them pay through the other end. I know it’s doubtful because the Dims need the surveillance state and social credit system built.

I have been thinking about all those new factories and jobs that were on the way. My guess is that some of those companies are going to reverse course now. And if some of them do build. Then then it is the democrats that will claim credit for the job gains. And the ignorant populous will believe it. And if those companies reverse and pull out, and we have fewer jobs then the democrats will blame Trump. And the populous will believe it. I have lost my faith in humanity at this point.

The Socialist Democrats will be destroying anything and everything that isn’t nailed down. Count on it. Same Old, Same Old!

Plan accordingly for you and yours. Seriously. Get your own financial house in order. STAT!

This will be the 2008/9 economic depression...on steroids! I think back to those days and all the LibTards I worked with that lost HALF of their retirement savings. ‘YOU VOTED FOR THIS!’ Morons. History WILL repeat.

It will come a little later though, post President Trump, so there IS time to prepare. You can thank me now and then thank me later. ;)

The vote that really counts is made using two feet.

Make sure your young one know a major foreign language and have a skill most countries value.

Take it easy. Simplify your business. Retire if you can. Spend down financial assets.

Think of yourselves as Jews in 1932 Germany or 1941 France.

Of course President Trump will get the blame; most likely for the next 100 years!

I’m just saying that if we don’t have our shiite together, individually, for what is looming on the horizon, the blame is also on ourselves.

Keep your powder dry and always save a bullet for yourself. ;)

These are not the Pelosi/Schumer Democrats anymore. They are young, sharp and likable.

I think they will be smart and layoff of Trump and just let things take their course until 2028.

We’re in big trouble, folks.
