Longtime Trump Ally Peter Ticktin Warns Democrats’ First Move on January 3, 2027 Will Be Impeaching Trump and Vance – “They Just Need the Votes… They Can Impeach Them for Pushing Humpty Dumpty Off the Wall”
The Gateway Pundit ^ | November 5, 2026 | Jim Hᴏft

Longtime Donald Trump ally, childhood friend from New York Military Academy, and prominent Florida attorney Peter Ticktin sat down with The Gateway Pundit to deliver a stark warning about what Americans can expect the moment radical Democrats seize control of the House and Senate on January 3, 2027.

Ticktin, who just scored a major courtroom victory last week when a Florida federal judge tossed former Dominion executive Eric Coomer’s defamation lawsuit against Patrick Byrne, outlined three scenarios for the just-concluded 2026 midterms and laid out what he says is the Democrats’ real plan if they take both chambers by a meaningful margin.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, U.S. District Judge Tom Barber granted summary judgment for Byrne after ruling that Coomer failed to prove actual malice by clear and convincing evidence, the standard required under Colorado law even for a non-public figure when the statements concern a matter of public concern.

Patrick Byrne publicly thanked Ticktin and co-counsel Stefanie Lambert for the win. Coomer still has a separate, long-delayed defamation case pending in Colorado against The Gateway Pundit, Jim Hoft, President Trump, and others.

Ticktin told The Gateway Pundit there are three realistic outcomes from the midterms:

Only the third scenario, Ticktin said, gives Democrats the numbers they need. “They need that in order to remove the president and the vice president when they impeach them. And this is what their plan is.”

According to Ticktin, the timeline is already set. Roughly 62–63 days after the election, the new Congress is sworn in. “First thing they do in the House is elect their speaker. And then the next thing they get down to business on is impeaching both Donald Trump and J.D. Vance. And they don’t need any real reason. They just need the votes. They just need a majority. … They can impeach them for pushing Humpty Dumpty off the wall.”

In the Senate, removal requires 67 votes. Ticktin believes Democrats will not need to flip every vulnerable Republican. He pointed to RINOs, compromised members, and possible leverage involving past trips to Beijing, Ukraine, or other pressure points. “We know they have people that are RINOs and hate Donald Trump, and they’re hiding it. But we know that they can probably get an additional 6 or 7 or 8 votes if they need them.”

Ticktin said the articles of impeachment are already being previewed. One line of attack involves the death of Renee Goode—an accusation Ticktin dismissed as “ridiculous” and “insane.” A more serious (in their telling) charge centers on alleged “war crimes” related to Iran.

“They’re going to blame him for Iran,” Ticktin said. “This is what’s so dangerous.” He warned that after removal, Democrats would stage a televised trial featuring images of children killed in Iran in an effort to turn the world against Trump—echoing the Watergate spectacle. “Everybody’s going to watch it. … And then he’s going to be tried for these crimes after he’s removed from office.”

0% change they will EVER have the votes for removal.

But if someone wants to worry about this, go ahead.

Let’s see what happens in 45 days, after DNI submits its report to Trump as CiC.

On an unrelated note, what the heck is wrong with this site lately> It’s never been this slow before. It spools and spools and spools, and I have to either press the “Esc” key and click again on “Search” or “Post” or whatever I’m trying to do, or exit out of the Internet altogether, then go back in. Site loads normally at that time.

The Democrats will come in with momentum and the Republicans on their heels. A decision needs to be made whether to start the 2028 Presidential campaign immediately.

I am of the thought Vance and or Rubio should announce their campaigns immediately and begin campaigning. They will need the added attention to both defend and go on the offensive.

This will help divert the attention on the new congress, and the media will have chills on their leg thinking about Trump leaving.

The challenge is can President Trump handle allowing his generals to take the spot light while he works as the director.

If this would be an attempt to get Hakeem Jeffries, being third in line of succession, in as president, it will not work. The Senate has to run separate trials for each. If they did succeed in removal of Trump, Vance on assuming office would immediately appoint a new VP.

There most certainly will be impeachments of Trump and his cabinet in the next two years. But they should more properly be called Show Trials.

The only question is how many? I’ll say four, noting that Trump himself will probably be impeached more than once.

If they only need 6-7 don’t bet on it. Murkowski would be one. Any senator up for reelection in 2028 from a state that turned blue on Tuesday would be a possibility. Keep an eye on who ends up being Speaker. Not sure the democrats would want Jeffries as President, but AOC would fit nicely with their plans.

That was the plan in Watergate. They got rid of Agnew first and were trying to can Nixon before he could replace him so they could completely nullify the election. Some ethical democrats didn’t go along. Not sure that same level of Democrat exists anymore.

Interesting. I do think that we need to focus on 2028 and protect our potential candidates and have them point out the negatives of the Left and embedded Right. JD started this yesterday with his response to the election.

If this happened I think JD would choose Tulsi Gabbard.

The 25th Amendment covers such a situation. Vance could appoint a new VP. But that person must then be confirmed by both Houses of Congress.

Are the Democrats vile enough to simply block all of Vance’s appointments? You bet they are.

“Vance and or Rubio should announce their campaigns immediately and begin campaigning.”

Agreed—that is a sound strategy.

If President Trump does not agree then Rubio should resign for that reason—be respectful about it—but just say it is going to be a tough fight and he needs to devote his full attention to it.

Vance’s situation is tougher. He will have to have a one on one heart to heart with the President.

The Republicans enter the 2028 Presidential race as underdogs.

They need to act accordingly—work twice as hard as they would otherwise.
