(NewsNation) — A violent brawl at a youth softball game in Houston last weekend left one man with several injuries, including brain bleeds.
Attorney Steve Shellist, who represents the unidentified man, told the Houston Chronicle that his client suffered a broken jaw, a fractured skull and three brain bleeds after a metal water bottle allegedly possessed by Kiarious Hall struck him.
According to investigators, Hall was cheering for his daughter’s team when he became involved in an argument with another spectator. Hall told investigators that a second man then approached, poked him in the chest and punched him in the face.
Investigators added that cellphone video allegedly showed Hall hitting the man with a metal water bottle before the man fell, struck his head on the sidewalk and became unconscious. Court documents state that a separate fight also involved Hall, the first man and Jazmine Hall, who investigators said threw punches in an effort to help her husband.
Police said Kiarious Hall and Jazmine Hall were arrested after the incident. Court records indicate Kiarious Hall was charged with assault causing bodily injury, while Jazmine Hall resigned as assistant principal at Lamar Junior High School two days later.
The altercation occurred during an Illusions Gold Fastpitch 12U select softball game, with the league later stating that it does not condone the participants’ actions.
“The individuals involved have been permanently dismissed from our program and the team is no longer associated with Illusions Gold Fastpitch,” the league wrote in part of a news release.

I wonder why they commit so many more crimes and don’t do as well in life than whites and asians.
Maybe they have more original sins? What do you think?
“ Court records indicate Kiarious Hall was charged with assault causing bodily injury”

The charges definitely need to be UPGRADED to “Aggravated Assault” since the injuries were serious and a “deadly weapon” was used in the assault. Anyone who doesn’t think that water bottle wasn’t a deadly weapon has never held a metal Yeti insulated water bottle and felt its heft and hardness and understood how the handle at the top makes it ideal to be swung as a deadly weapon.
The injured man is truly lucky to be alive from the unexpected “sucker” vicious swing of that WEAPON.

An earlier article noted that the police said Hall’s statement didn’t match the video. This article skips that. This article says he was trash talking. It was described as he was yelling to distract the batter. Trash talking implies back and forth.
