A federal judge on Friday rejected McDonald’s request to dismiss a proposed class action accusing it of defrauding consumers about the content of its McRib sandwich.
The plaintiffs accused McDonald’s of intentionally shaping McRib patties with ridges to resemble pork ribs and make diners believe the sandwich contains rib meat, an expensive cut known for its higher fat content and rich flavor.
Consumers said McDonald’s actual use of lower-grade pork products including shoulder, heart, tripe or stomach caused them to overpay for the McRib, one of its most expensive menu items.

I had a McRib. Once.
The bun itself was soft and tasty.
The pickles and onions were fresh and crispy.
The barbecue sauce was the right amount of tangy and sweet.
The mystery meat was crap. The best way to eat a McRib is to throw out that gray looking stuff and eat the rest.
The best way to eat a McRib is to be in college then you don’t care what it tastes like!
I don’t think the McRibs are anywhere near as good as the ones of my youth. But I still eat one (just the one) everytime they come back out.
But most of their other burgers have become really tasteless as of late.

Anyone who looks at and tastes that lump and is fooled that it has any relationship to ribs is far too mentally feeble to be allowed out in public without assistance
McRib is reconstituted pink slime. Who knew?
The cry of the generic college kid: “It’s not Ramen Noodles in a cup!”.
The same for Jack in the Box tacos.
Yep!
Goes better with cheap bottom of the market beer!
It’s like every new Apple product when Steve Jobs was in charge. It’s like “I just gotta have it!”
I bought a mini Mac the first day it came out some 20 years ago. The retail clerk said: Congratulations-oh come on! We’re being played.
well, to use the Alaska Decoy Dan example: people who eat pork ribs should know there is no way to have a single piece of rib meat big enough to fit inside a roll like that. they should be smart enough to figure out the difference and choose accordingly.
It’s the BBQ sauce forget the rest ,LOL
I love me a mcrib
Ridiculous lawsuit.
Someone wants settlement money.
McD should not settle.
I tried one once, many, many years ago. Never went back for another.
Yep they should have sued for the lack of ham in the hamburger, better case.
