We really love Abdul El-Sayed ... Jewish safety depends on a real multiracial democracy.
This is a major belief of the Left. They think that allowing one people group to be the majority will lead to racism, which will lead to racial nationalism, which will lead to Hitler. Everyone must therefore be crammed into the same geographic area, ethnic tensions and all, in order to guarantee mutually assured destruction.
This man wants to live in a country where,
... the majority can't just decide that the minority doesn't deserve the same freedoms.
What's funny is that he's describing a Constitutional Republic. A democracy, by contrast, is mob rule, or tyranny of the majority, where 51% get to decide to eat the other 49% for lunch.
This is why Founding Fathers like John Adams repeatedly mocked democracy and said it can never work. This is why we have the Electoral College (which the Democrats want to abolish) and a Senate (which the Democrats want to abolish) and a federalist system that separates powers (which the Democrats are working to abolish).
Has anyone told this guy that he should be voting Republican if he cares about protecting minority interests??
The safety and freedom we've found in America didn't happen by accident. They exist because of democracy.

As Jews, we know that when a government starts targeting certain groups of people, no one should assume they are safe from what comes next.
You mean like how the Biden DOJ targeted Trump voters, pro-lifers, Catholics, and white Americans with the FBI and illegal discriminatory policies?
