In 1967 Louis Armstrong sang “What a Wonderful World!”, a call for optimism as an antidote to the social and political strife of the Sixties. Today he would probably be silenced by the left for hate speech. How dare he extol contentment while the masses struggle to seek relief from oppression? This is a time for vengeance and payback!
Global unrest prevails:
Despite periodic peace accords, Palestinian intifada with Israel continues unabated.
Iran pledges “death to America!”, the Great Satan, precipitating open warfare.
The EU (aka “Eurabia”) is on fire at the hands of the aggrieved.
Terrorist attacks, epitomized by 9/11, rock the West.
Globalization has evolved into an undeclared, not-so-cold war between East and West.
The East faction is based in Muslim nations in Central Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and Indonesia. Their governance and social structure is based in the tenets of Islam which, most notably in Iran, have been usurped by radical Islamists and morphed into a fundamentalist theocratic governing ideology intent upon destruction of Western Judeo-Christian capitalism.
Islamic ideology has found a willing accomplice and bed fellow in leftist/Marxist ideology. Islamic ideology — Islamism, advanced by radical Islamists — is a political movement which perceives religion and politics to be inseparable, rejecting Western secularism and socioeconomic structure. Marxist ideology seeks overthrow of capitalism in a revolt of the “working class.” Both seek control of a world order based in compliance with belief systems that reject capitalism, albeit from different perspectives. Both are out of sync with the realities of terrestrial existence and human nature. This merger of ideologies is readily palpable in the rise of the Islamo/socialist DSA within our Democrat party.

I hope we don’t have World War One Hundred Eleven, but the other side seems so determined.
I have wondered if we are headed for some major military conflicts or war on many fronts, God forbid World War 3.
Just noting, there are many events happening which could trigger something.
I have to refresh my memory of World War 1. History tells us the shooting of the Archduke triggered the war. But it’s not like that very day, war was declared and so many nations were pulled into war. It took time for subsequent events to happen, which led to war.
Ditto World War 2. History tells us that Sept 1939, Hitler invaded Poland and that was the start of the war. But it’s not like that very day, people started saying this is the start of World War 2. Again, subsequent events happened, which led to the conflict developing into World War 2.
With events in the world today, we may look back on this time as the start of a major world changing conflict. Key indicators are there, but we don’t know how this all plays out yet.
A few years ago I thought Republicans would easily win any civil war.
Unfortunately now it's obvious too many Conservatives don't care about defeating Liberals as much as they care about watching Football and Israel.
Sorry but Israel, Israel, Israel and more Israel is not going to rally anyone to our side.
This coalition also includes feminists, gays, and blacks.
Our World War numbering system is cockeyed.
The Cold War began in August 6th, 1945 and involved armed combat in more than 70 countries on five of the six inhabited continents* with millions of combatants and millions of civilians killed. We should be calling it WWIII.
*There was no fighting in Australia but Australia sent troops to Cold War fights around the world.
Except the French & Indian War (AKA the Seven Years War) was the first truly ‘global’ war, with fighting on five of the six inhabited continents (again, no Australia) and in the the Philippines. Close to 900,000 were killed.
The French & Indian War and the Cold War hadn’t had such crummy press agents, we would be on the look-out for WWV (apologies to the guys at Fort Collins).
Bonhoeffer was warning about Hitler even before 1938.

You cannot defeat liberals by joining the socialists in their antisemitism.
You would have said the same thing about Bonhoeffer standing for the Jews. The Nazis were dead set on removing the Lutheran pastors who had Jewish ancestry.
That antisemitism is a harbinger of war. Wherever you see antisemitism rising, you see evil preparing to launch yet another all out attack on civilization.
Sorry, but it’s not a merger of fundamental ideologies: Neither group agrees with the other, and each intends ultimate dominance. It’s a temporary alliance of convenience against a commonly hated and currently more powerful enemy: the West and its philosophy of natural, fundamental, individual freedoms. Once they accomplish their joint goal of destroying the remnants of democracy, then the real bloodbath starts between them.
What we need right now is a new Pinochet.
World War One Hundred Eleven
Yes, the Cold War was World War 3.
Could it be the partnership of the political leader and religious leader of end times, the Vatican and Islam joined together perhaps?
The big nuclear end of everything was supposed to be WW3, but we got the Cold War instead.
WW4 -- Started on 2001-09-11. We lost, but of course it's not completely settled.
So we're working on WW5.
And the Islamists will use the Marxists to gain control of all countries and then just discard them like used condoms.
