A Boston dad has been convicted of repeatedly fondling a teen girl aboard a JetBlue flight.
Jonathan Alan Lefman, 48, was found guilty after a three-day jury trial of sexually abusing a 17-year-old girl seated in front of him on a Boston-bound flight from Puerto Rico on Aug. 30, 2024, the US Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts announced on Thursday.
Lefman — who was on the plane with his wife and four kids — wedged his hand between the back and bottom of the seat in front of him to touch the girl’s buttocks without her permission, according to prosecutors.
The teen girl saw the creep dad’s reflection leaning between the seats in the seatback monitor in front of her, and was able to take a picture of his fingers protruding between the back and bottom of her seat, officials said.
Lefman’s son, who was 16 at the time, sat to the left of him while he fondled the girl, according to an affidavit in support of an application for a criminal complaint.
After getting off the plane, one of the girl’s adult female family members who was traveling in a different row confronted Lefman and reported his perverse behavior to a JetBlue supervisor — showing a video of his fingers as evidence.

Something fell from his tray into seat in front. He was fishing for it. Mass. Loves to destroy fathers of large families. Money grabbers. Who knows.
Well, he's going to end up in arrears.
Maybe he can run against Cruz for the Senate in two years, with the support of fellow traveler Talarico.
Sounds like BS to me. Risking jail and fines to touch a girls butt?! With his family?!
So many questions. First, I didn’t know that was possible for a hand to go under the seat but maybe possible to go between seats. Second, odd way to cop a feel and very strange he would try in such a public setting, people next to him watching? Third, what was his explanation, he could have given some good excuses like the one mentioned here that he was looking for something. Fourth, what was his wife doing when he did this?
Sick..just sick...
Neither of you read the article, did you?
*** Lefman, who lives in a $2.3 million home in Newton, claimed he had been stretching and apologized. When confronted with whether his fingers captured on camera were familiar, he told investigators, “Not really, no.”***
Stretching? LOLOLOLOL.
Didn’t recognize his own fingers? I’m pretty sure that was easy for the prosecution to prove.
You two are giving creeps an easy way out. This guy was a Joe Biden wannabe.
I read FR, I dont click on links
He stole my move!
Stop short.
So instead of reading the rest of the article, you assume the guy is being railroaded.
If you lose an item on the airplane, do you usually go fishing around in the seat in front of you, or do you politely ask that passenger for help?
Maybe you’re a Biden wannabe, too.
A few related notes (assuming he actually touched her):
1) Is it sin? Yes. Thus, the other questions are about legality.
2) Is it illegal? Not by age (in Massachusetts age of consent is 16 and she was 17).
3) So did she consent? Or put another way, did she either sexually flirt with him before he touched her, or approve of early sexual advances and contact? This is where the phrase "repeatedly fondling" has an impact IMHO. If a man makes a move on a woman and she doesn't object, and he makes more moves and even contacts her and she still doesn't object, IMHO that's consent to future contact.
All of that is assuming he actually did it (with his wife and kids next to him?!?!) and the wording in the article is accurate.
WTAF?
You’ve got to be kidding!
Hey, the creeper FReepers happily point themselves out to us. I should probably make a list so that I can easily remember who they are.
It happens. The last governor’s son was accused of fondling while flying. The charges were dropped.
Really.
LOL -- so true! That, and a list of bitter divorced guys. Maybe there's some crossover.
I wouldn’t be surprised if there was crossover.
