Barack Obama is like a firefighter parachuted in by the Democratic Party at times of crisis to put out fires.
So when he weighed in on Sunday on the federal investigation of Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar over potential allegations of immigration fraud and financial offenses, you just knew that the party is seriously worried about the national implications if she were to be indicted and potentially denaturalized and deported.
Railing against the “appalling” investigation, Obama claimed Omar was “a law-abiding elected official” targeted because she “has dared to criticize the president,” and we should all be “outraged” about the weaponization of the Justice Department.
“It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say.”
That’s quite some chutzpah from the former president who launched the Russia-hoax persecutions of Trump.
But when it comes to the far-left Somalian-born congresswoman from Minnesota, there have long been rumors that she married her brother for immigration purposes.
Republican donors in 2021 spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on private investigators to covertly obtain DNA samples of Omar and her second husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, who was living in London.
The samples gathered from discarded Coca-Cola cans, hair and cigarette butts were submitted to Endeavor DNA Laboratories.
The test results stated there was a 99.999998 percent chance that Omar and her now ex-husband, Elmi, are siblings.

Say what you will about Laura Loomer, but I remember very clearly she confronted Omar days before her first election and asked if she married her brother. No one else would - of course the Minnesota DFL (make up your own acronym) voters elected her anyway.
She has been a fraud since day 1 and everyone in the Dem party knew it, but like the MN voters, were too cowardly to do anything about it because it would make the party look bad.
My bet is the tipping point is not far off - and when the evidence becomes overwhelming Omar will get the same treatment Joe Biden got after his brain-dead debate. Even now, no one (including her fellow Squat pals) are willing to spend any political capital defending her. The next step will be some starting to fall off the wagon, asking for “complete investigation of the facts”, etc.
Hopefully DOJ will make all that moot.

Leftists are still going to engage in as much fraud as they can, but the fraud is harder to carry out, there are fewer organizations to carry it out, and there are fewer pools of cash to carry it out.
I find it disgusting to see, on this forum, people who openly want to see the Republicans go down in flames because of their irrational hatred for anything associated with Donald Trump. Sure, we have a number of people on this forum who are simply dispirited, and to justify their weakness and personal lack of courage, are rooting for the Republicans to lose.
But the number of Leftist trolls, and those who simply hate Trump, far outnumber the weak-kneed people who post on this website.
Notice how all of her “squad” has deserted her - all Dems too except for Obama.
They well know the feds have the goods on her, including DNA that proves she married her own brother.
The feds in charge now aren’t as dumb as the OJ jury - that refused to believe the DNA evidence.

Her eventual marriage to her current "spouse"... What name did she use on the marriage certificate? Is that marriage legally valid? Invalid??
Did she run for officer under her real name? Did she swear the oath office with her actual name?

Before she legally married Ahmed Hirsi in 2018 (and while she was previously married to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi), she filed joint tax returns using her name at the time, which included her married surname from her first marriage: Ilhan Nur Said Elmi.
Should be charged with bigamy.

I’m not sure this analysis tracks for me. We have seen the Democrats abandon candidates that they viewed as imperiled and liabilities, and the general form is more of a concerted dismissal and distancing. For example, the Cox wire fraud case, the Platner stuff, etc. all share that form.
I think it might be more consistent that the use of Obama indicates a view of defensible counter-messaging being a better option on the part of Democrats. That doesn’t guarantee anything obviously but I think it indicates that Democratic strategists *don’t* view this the way that the source imagines.
Even if they arrest, charge, convict and incarcerate/deport her, there’s so many friggin Somalians in Minnesota, that they’ll just put up another one to replace her, and will probably get elected. So they need to bring the hammer down on that whole community.
But the Somalians will probably riot and burn in retaliation, which is the main reason why I think they’ve held off so long on nailing this woman.
