Delays in approving transfers from partner countries coincide with a worsening rupture between President Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky.
The Trump administration has not approved the transfer of interceptor missiles to Ukraine that are needed to protect the country from Russian missile and drone attacks, officials said Monday, a delay that comes as President Donald Trump has embraced Russia and slammed Ukraine in recent weeks.
At least some of the transfers of Patriot interceptor missiles are from countries friendly to Ukraine that require Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to approve the handoff, according to a U.S. official and three additional people familiar with the situation, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss diplomatic exchanges. The United States retains control because the weapons are made by it and are shipped abroad under the agreement that transfers to other countries require U.S. sign-off.
A Ukrainian official told The Washington Post last week that “only a couple” of interceptor missiles remain in Ukraine’s stockpile.
Officials said Hegseth has not formally rejected the transfers but also has not completed the required steps to approve them. Hegseth has continued to approve some U.S. assistance to Ukraine, they said.
Trump has repeatedly blasted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in recent days as relations between the two leaders have deteriorated in ways that recall the low point, early in Trump’s second term, when he ejected the Ukrainian leader from the White House. Relations had bounced back since then and were positive as recently as last month, when the two men met in New York.
Trump, however, increasingly appears to have settled on Zelensky as a person to blame for his struggles with high energy prices and worsening political prospects ahead of the midterm elections. Ukraine has been striking...

Sounds like Trump had a PRODUCTIVE meeting with Tulsi last week.
Did you see her walk u to the White House good lord her butt was doing the Hulu dance big time
These are transfers from other countries, if I read it correctly.
I wouldn’t approve the transfers, but...not my circus, not my monkeys. They want to send them, it is up to the administration.
I would rubber-stamp nothing for them.
Glen Beck reported today that Zelensky / the Ukrainian military is training the Mexican drug cartels how to operate drones on the US Mexico border. Trump needs to sever all American ties to the Ukraine until Zelensky is removed.
“At least some of the transfers of Patriot interceptor missiles are from countries friendly to Ukraine that require Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to approve the handoff...”
So, the EU can give them the ones that don’t require our permission... Unless, of course, they want to blame it on President Trump.
Got a link? :)
What do you mean by that?
How long before a Federal Judge orders the missiles shipped?
If the Europeans had any guts, they could send their own AD units with the missiles.
“”””Glen Beck reported today that Zelensky / the Ukrainian military is training the Mexican drug cartels how to operate drones on the US Mexico border.””””
That is ridiculous, but it is a fact that the Ukraine military is training American troops in Ukraine in modern warfare.
That sounds plausible, but I would like to see some proof.
Transferring from other nations means we have to replace them. Maybe we don’t have enough to go around right now. Then we leave other nations unprotected.
WaPo fabricates an entire article based on ANONYMOUS officials and ANONYMOUS “other people”
just more rumors being presented as “facts’ by the lying leftist corporate media ...
“Did you see her walk u to the White House good lord her butt was doing the Hulu dance big time”
Probably did that for Trump, after watching his other babes.
“What do you mean by that?”
Tulsi’s the ONLY person who’s worked for Trump who understands that Russia isn’t going to surrender to the Neocons, particularly after fighting them for nearly 5 years. So if Trump really wants the war to end (which I think he does), then it will take working with the Russians, rather than giving them lip service and more meaningless promises.
I agree. Thanks for the explanation.
You’re welcome - I figured you agreed.
