Democratic Senate hopeful James Talarico was ruthlessly fact-checked by a Catholic voter during a Texas town hall Wednesday after he claimed the Bible doesn’t take a stance on abortion.
Talarico, a Christian seminarian and state lawmaker, attempted to convince the self-described “one-issue voter,” Jody Hunt, that his pro-choice position is compatible with her faith because “the Bible is silent on the issue of abortion.”
Hunt, respectfully, wasn’t buying it.
She allowed Talarico to finish his point that “certain policy levers” — absent banning the procedure — can reduce abortions nationwide, before her mic-drop moment.
“I just want to add that the Bible is not silent on abortion. There is the 10 Commandments: ‘Thou shall not kill,’” Hunt shot back.
She added, “And as Catholics, we take great insult, I guess sometimes, when it’s described that way.”
Hunt further noted that Talarico’s call for expanding access to contraception and what he described as “age-appropriate sex education” is a “very trying thing” for Catholics.
“We believe the parents are the primary educators of our children, and so, one of the things that we really struggle with is having any government interference with how we educate our children,” she said. “So I know we’re going to agree to disagree on that, but I do appreciate your comments on tending to the life from the womb to the tomb, and I think that’s one common ground we can come to.”
Talarico continued to defend his stance, explaining that he doesn’t view the termination of a pregnancy as a violation of the Bible’s fundamental principles.

The Bible supports life. The highest ethicacy in supporting life if carrying yourself and behaving in a way that respects life. That is by definition a pro-life posituon.
The article misspells the Catholic theologian’s name; it should read “Jodi” Hunt. She is a professor at the University of Dallas, which, along with schools like Franciscan University of Steubenville (Ohio) and the University of Mary (in North Dakota) is unapologetically at the forefront of the right to life movement.
And that is the biggest, most stark, most bare difference between Christianity and Islam. Christianity values and worships life. Islam values death.
The Left is going after the very foundation of Christianity itself warping and maiming the very word of God. They succeeded in dumbing the down the populace on civics. Next up: the Bible.

Actually, “Thou shalt not kill” is a wrong translation. From the original Hebrew, the correct translation is “Thou shalt not murder”.
While either applies in the case of abortion, in the issue of capital punishment, the Catholic Bible and the KJV Bible have the translation wrong.
So that asks the question, “what ELSE does the Catholic and KJV Bibles have wrong?”. Which means, about what ELSE have Catholics and KJVers been mislead?
All this could be avoided by using a more accurately translated Bible, such as NASB, ESV, or even NIV.
Not what I expected to see, he rolled right over them, and the abortion argument wasn’t strong at all, much less a ruthless fact check.
This is the first I have seen him defend his anti-Christian, anti-bible agenda, and he is very smooth, in fact he is smooth on all his left agenda.
Seeing him in action is scary, he is far more skilled at his sociopathy than I knew.
