A projectile struck a passenger terminal at the international airport in Riyadh on Sunday, a day after a missile hit the same terminal and killed 12 people, the Saudi-led coalition fighting Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen said. The Houthis claimed responsibility for those attacks and others.
Saudi authorities said there were injuries in the latest attack on the King Khalid International Airport complex for terminals 3 and 4 for domestic flights. Saturday's missile attack was the deadliest in a Gulf Arab nation since the Iran war began, with another 300 people wounded, some critically. The airport was still closed Sunday.
The sharp escalation in the new front in the war threatens to draw in greater U.S. military involvement, as President Donald Trump has said he is weighing joining the fight against the Houthis.
The latest strike in Riyadh came shortly after the Houthis said the airport in the rebel-held Yemeni capital of Sanaa had been struck again, and blamed the Saudis.

Saudi Arabia is running low on missile interceptors and has asked France, Britain, Pakistan and Egypt to deploy air defense support to the region, regional officials told The Associated Press last month, with one noting that the U.S. has seen its own stock dwindle during the war with Iran.

Israel’s too dangerous to attack, so they’re killing each other.
Yeah and we can't figure out how to build any more weapons.
NPR is staffed by geniuses.
Saudi Arabia made a deal with Turkey and Pakistan to protect each other, apparently Turkey and Pakistan are not doing a damn thing, so honestly not our problem. Saudi Arabia still has a lot to answer for regarding 9/11..if they have such a strong military whats the problem, attack back
“Passenger terminal at Riyadh airport is struck again, a day after 12 were killed”. I wanted to head there, but I’ll pass.
Muzzies killing Muzzies. Not consistent with the House Of Peace Islam claims for its cult members.
I’ll take England for $400 Alex…..
So when are the Saudi’s gonna fight back?
“So when are the Saudi’s gonna fight back?”

35 million Saudis. 33 million Yemenis. Houtis? maybe a million?
I’m not sure the Saudis have the stomach for a real fight, even if they outnumber their foes. The Saudi per capita in come is something like $40,000 per year. The per capita income in Yemen is like $425 per year. Plus, the Saudis have a huge advantage in military arms and equipment.
But, as the saying goes: “Weak men make for hard times.”
so what exactly have the Saudis done to proactively eliminate the attacks? ... [running out of interceptors that don’t seem to be working all that well to start with is a losing strategy]
This is a case where western propaganda is working against itself. By consistently portraying the Houthis as "rebels" they have created an image that they are some rag-tag force out in the desert. Whereas the Houthis actually hold the large majority of the populated areas of Yemen, and thus to all intents and purposes are the real government of Yemen. Whereas the "government of Yemen" the media likes to talk about are a bunch of fractious tribal armies out in the eastern desert.
Now, throw in the fact that the actual Saudi population is smaller than that of Yemen (despite the difference in geographic size), with much of Saudi Arabia's "official" population artificially inflated by Philippino maidservants and Indonesian oilfield workers and the like, and the manpower advantage shifts to the Houthis.
Defense only so far. They need to go on the offensive. There are no doubt reasons they do not.
This Attack is being called a WAR CRIME.
.
We will see...
The entire point of the KSA military is to protect the Royals from their citizens, not much after that.
“There are no doubt reasons they do not.”
lack of will and/or expectations of failure are two that come to mind ... i don’t think Saudi pilots are renowned for their fighting abilities ... getting a few blown out of the sky by SAMs launched by sand peasants which the pilots fail to evade would fully expose Saudi’s air force [such as it may be] as completely useless ...
Arabs do not understand the concept of total war.
But then again, many have forgotten that, don't have the stomach for, or the need for.
We Are Deploying Troops according
To Tousi.
I think SA will not put up with this. More ME war scares.
These people have zillions of dollars. Why don’t they have air defense weapons (Patriot and the like) in their country?
