The tiger seen mauling a man who had gotten inside the enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park has survived, say police.
Shocking footage has emerged of a man inside the enclosure at the Doncaster attraction and the tiger, visibly disturbed by his presence, attacking the man who is seen shouting at the animal to stay back. The popular wildlife park will remain closed throughout today and the rest of tomorrow.
Visitors reported hearing gunshots as they were ordered to leave the park shortly after 1.35pm. The speculation prompted fears from the public that the animal had been shot dead to protect the man. South Yorkshire Police have confirmed that the man has suffered serious injuries as a result and they are working at pace to find the man's family.

Sheer idiocy in the name of internet popularity is rampant, and resulting in all kinds of mayhem and death. Absolutely 100% with the tiger on this. Tragic for the guy’s family, but when you provoke a deadly animal the range of responses includes said animal attacking and killing you. I thought this was more widely understood...
Honestly, they need to post signs that say if you enter the cage, you will be shot.
