Another NFL star is raising questions about the U.S. moon landing.
In a recent interview, New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye shared he’s unsure if the United States really landed on the moon in 1969.
Maye made his comments during a recent radio interview where he stated, “I’m not really sure 200% if we went there or not.”
Boston 25 News was the first to report on Maye’s comments on the moon landing:
New England Patriots QB Drake Maye has revealed he isn’t quite sure a famous touchdown really happened.
During an appearance on WEEI on Monday, the topic of conspiracy theories came up and Maye said he was skeptical that the United States actually did land on the moon in 1969.
“I don’t know about the moon, you know. I think I can see back in the day why we would put on the mask if we went there, but I’m not really sure 200% if we went there or not,” Maye said. “I wouldn’t say I’m leaning one way or the other. I just know I’m a little bit skeptical.”
During the conversation, Maye also said he took a class at the University of North Carolina about conspiracy theories.
“They studied Hitler being alive and ‘Are birds real?’ some of the classic ones that you hear about,” Maye said.
Some believe legendary film director Stanley Kubrick staged the moon landing.
Maye is coming off an encouraging outing against the Buffalo Bills this past Sunday amid a slow start to the 2026 season. Maye threw for a season-high 269 yards and three TDs in the 29-26 victory over their AFC East rivals. It ended his two-game drought without a TD pass.
Listen to the conversation here:
NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman responded to Maye by writing on X that he had the receipts:
Take a look:
Maye is not the first NFL player to question the moon landing.
MARCA reported wide receiver AJ Brown has also questioned the event:
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown doubled down on his belief that the moon landing was staged because humans have not returned since the 1969 Apollo 11 mission.
Brown, 25, tweeted his response to a video of Neil Armstrong refusing to swear on a Bible that he stepped foot on the moon.
“We got cars driving themselves but we can’t go back to the moon,” Brown tweeted. “Took me about 20 years to understand they been lying to us our entire lives.”
Brown also claimed that humans are living inside a globe they cannot escape, citing the Bible saying God created the “firmament.”
Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs took to Twitter to agree with Brown, who has since deleted the original tweet.

Athletes attempting to sound smart is a bad strategy. You should only try it if you are smart.
He’s unsure if his receivers exist.
Not all athletes are dumbs as rocks, some are just plain dumb.........
It’s twue, it’s twue.
And the earth is flat.
And Dorkbama never lied.
And AOC has a measurable IQ.
conspiracy theories, you mean like the Civil War? Where are all the statues? There would have been statutes if there was a Civil War…..
Are birds real? Really? That’s a “conspiracy”?
Well, that statement right there shows his lack of historical knowledge-
We haven’t been back to the Moon since Apollo 17 (1972).
I used to work with a guy- good conservative, but NOTHING could make him believe that we actually went to the Moon. He was such a conspiracy theorist that he had little faith in human ingenuity- AMERICAN ingenuity.
The vaccine is safe and effective. Our elections are safe and secure. JFK was killed by a lone assassin.
A hat tip to Steely Dan:
You been tellin’ me you’re a genius since you were seventeen
In all the time I’ve known you, I still don’t know what you mean
The weekend at the college didn’t turn out like you planned
The things that pass for knowledge, I can’t understand.........
Some day he may be a Senator. If America still has those that is.
When the word ‘slavery’ disappears from the language we will all be slaves.............
LOL!!
A few Freepers concur and think it was fake landing.
I don’t believe there was slavery. What proof is there?
