On Wednesday, the University of London Coalition plans a pro-Palestine march through central London, though the Met Police cannot ban the event after failing to identify organizers to request a date change.
Deputy Assistant Commissioner James Harman stated the legal threshold for banning protests is not met because the risk of serious disorder can be managed through conditions rather than prohibition.
Demonstrators must gather at Lincoln's Inn Fields by 12.30pm and follow a prescribed route to Russell Square, finishing by 2pm, with face coverings prohibited and arrests promised for any breach.
Secretary Lucy Powell urged organizers "to show compassion and respect for others by moving it," while SOAS University requested that premises remain safe and inclusive for all students.
The date marks the third anniversary of Hamas attacks that killed about 1,200 people, triggering an assault on Gaza that has killed more than 75,000 Palestinians since October 2023.

As I remember the Blues Brothers scene was to reference the true court victory in which Nazis could march in an area deliberately chosen where aged survivors of the Holocaust and their relatives and supporters would be forced to see the triumph of the marchers.

The US recognizes HAMAS as a TERRORIST organization... for obvious reasons. Anyone who gives aid and comfort to a terrorist organization and
~ is naturalized, legal or illegal immigrant should be deported immediately. Remove the privilege to be in the US.
~ For US citizens who give aid and comfort to a terrorist organization the laws should be enforced.
~ Media (including FR, TruthSocial, CBS,NBC,ABC,etc) should educate on HAMAS and its network of lying support organizations in the US.
Wave a British flag and sing the national anthem and see how quickly they can stop that.
The only reason for the organizers to hide from authorities is if they plan mischief. And I'll believe that mask wearing gets an arrest when I see it.
