A group of professional skydivers with Skydive Milwaukee were getting ready for their jump when they spotted a small plane crash into a cornfield near East Troy Municipal Airport on Sunday afternoon.
One of the skydivers, John Bechtel, recalled the moment in an interview with WSMV, saying of the other plane,
He kind of banked up a little bit, and then he disappeared behind the trees. We were all sitting there waiting for him to show back up somewhere and he never did. We all just kind of looked at each other like, ‘Did we just see a plane crash?'
The three skydivers, one of whom was a former paramedic, asked the pilot to drop them off near the crash site so they could help the victims.
The pilot called air traffic control, who told him,
It is your discretion if you want to drop jumpers over the area.
The skydivers decided to go for it without a second thought. Once on the ground, the three men were able to help the four victims of the plane crash, one of whom had sustained a serious head injury.
I bet the last thing the crash victims were expecting in that moment was for help to come falling down from the sky.
Article Image Bechtel went on to say of the unusual skydiving experience,
The timing couldn't have been any better. Had we left five minutes earlier, we wouldn't have seen it. Had we left 15 minutes later, we wouldn't have been able to get there first and assist.
Miraculously, all four of the plane crash victims survived and are expected to make a full recovery.

Wisconsin Ping!..............
Aviation ping!................😁
Good people. They give one hope.
I can envision some people in some skydiving plane (not that one!) who would pull out their phone and begin videoing instead of jumping...
This is what Americans do.
I would have thought all of the Wisconsin corn would have been harvested by now.
Remember boys and girls ALWAYS lift your head upwards and seek help.
We have had several days of rain. Too wet to harvest. Been beautiful the last two days so it should dry out enough to harvest. Soybean fields are ready too.
Heroes.
God put them in that situation for a reason.....
