Christa Pike is unconscious and on a ventilator after a botched execution late Wednesday evening, her attorneys said.
Christa Pike, 50, was sentenced to death for a 1995 fatal stabbing, torture and beating of 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer.
An inverted pentagram was carved into Slemmer’s chest during the gruesome murder.
Pike was 18 at the time of the murder. Pike’s boyfriend, Tadaryl Shipp, was also convicted of the 1995 murder.

Totally asinine... Life saving medical help after a failed execution. Unhook the ventilator. The bxtch needs to suffer and die.
Turn off everything she’s suppose to DIE
Just put her in a room filled with nitrogen gas. They’ll go into nitrogen narcosis and never wake up. Plus, it’ll be painless. Much more effective than lethal injection.

Yes, that would seem to be the most common sense avenue to take since everybody’s so worried about being humane.
Too bad her victim didn’t get all this consideration.
Perversely, her family will be made extremely wealthy as a result of this botched (sabotaged?) execution.
Oh yeah. The state is gonna get sued into oblivion.
This happened because medical professionals could not find a vein. Are those medical professionals still licensed to practice in Tennessee? They sound dangerously incompotent.
I have to fight the urge to find solace in her suffering. That isn’t right.
However, I will say that it seems that justice may be meted out after all, even if delayed.
Revive her and kill her again. Make it the new standard operating procedure.
