Russia said on Tuesday that a Tu-95 bomber crashed in one of its eastern regions.
At least six crew members died during the crash, which occurred during training, per state media.
The crash is a blow to Russia's nuclear bomber fleet, with Tu-95s now out of production.
One of Russia's Tu-95 strategic bombers crashed during a training flight in the Amur region, killing six crew members, the country's defense ministry said on Tuesday.
The plane was not carrying any ammunition, and a seventh crew member survived the initial crash and was hospitalized, the defense ministry added, per state media.

Looks like a hot air balloon.

“Nuclear-capable” is an awfully stupid adjective to apply to any bomber and an obvious attempt to make its disappearance sound needlessly sinister. A C-130 would be “nuclear-capable” if you strapped the bomb to a Radio Flyer little red wagon and rolled it out of the tailgate.

Looks like an orca to me.
Better call Sea World and ask if they're missing one.

Russia still uses this plane to launch cruise missiles at Ukraine’s cities.

Øbowel did the same to our F-22 production capabilitiesJust following the lead of Dick Cheney who ordered the destruction of F-14 tooling to the ultimate benefit of Boeing at the expense of Grumman.

It’s a universally hated aircraft. The crew hates it. The people who live around it hate it. It’s just loud.My understanding is that is tremendously loud.
