I’m glad I went with a Kubota.
If everyone would boycott John Deere for a year and not but ANY new products, I would be willing to bet every manufacturer would begin to see things in a totally different light.
It might take 2 years.
Then ask which manufacturer would like to be next.
P.S. Sometimes, I don’t like to fight “fair” I prefer fighting to win.
The long term solution is to not purchase any equipment you aren’t allowed to repair and make it known to companies who won’t let you.

Regardless....don’t bother.
Pumping grease into front wheels is pointless....will never go where it needs for the cup of grease.
Ditto for the vertical shaft of each front wheel turning mechanism....per cup of grease.
Ditto for the SEALED bearings of the 2-3 blade spindles...one upper, one lower, one cup of grease between them parked until the scrapyard.
Grease the wheel and steering rolled steel shafts with a finger of grease and that’s all that will ever reach them...annually maybe.
If you don’t cut wet grass or wash the underdeck, water wont get into the “sealed” (not for water, but dust) bearings of the spindle.
No nipple for steering gear...another finger of grease if uou can reach it.
John Deere's commercial/industrial grade products, by reputation, seem to be outstanding.

I am in the market for a bigger lawn tractor.
I was stationed in North Dakota for over seven years and saw all the issues farmers were having trying to keep their John Deere equipment running with all the restrictions.
I am not entertaining the purchase of a John Deere. I am looking towards Ariens or Husky.
The courts said nothing about having to kiss the pinky ring.
