Disney is reportedly laying off a few hundred employees across multiple departments at the entertainment giant.
Citing a source familiar with the matter, Reuters reported that Disney is laying off a few hundred employees in the company's human resources and technology departments, marking the latest round of cuts after earlier workforce reductions earlier in the year.
Variety first reported the news.
The moves come amid a leadership transition at Disney, which had Josh D'Amaro take charge as CEO in March as the company faces a transformational period amid the rise of AI, shrinking box office revenue and intense competition from streaming rivals.
