Damn! I was going to post that but I thought I should read through the posts first.
For the impact velocity crowd, note that pics at ramblerathens.com show something like a 20 foot ground floor, with only 5 floors above it. The “8 floors” must be some writer’s estimate of how high that would be in generic “floors”. The window sills are about 32” above floor level in the apartments. So the drop would be about 63 feet, which is bad enough. The pool deck looks to have a hard surface, but there are umbrellas, lounge chairs, pots, a short safety fence, etc. No tree canopies to break the fall.
Prayers for a full recovery for the injured girl. She is just a kid who was having fun, maybe a bit tipsy, and accidents happen. I hope she is able to dance again some day, perhaps first floor only and away from windows.
Who cares about the speed, it’s the sudden stop that gets you.
I like his movies, Rocky and Rambo franchises. I HATE his anti-gun statements. For an actor that made his bones with lots of guns it seems hypocritical. I just shut off that part of my brain when I just want to watch a good action movie.

Once saw two drakes in pursuit of a duck. She flew into the trees, made a quick turn, and then there was only one drake in pursuit after the other one flew into a branch. Hope his buddies got it on video.
